I liked the episode. Kinda interesting where this character went considering that the actor played a younger Lex back in season 6 (or around there)

Interesting that Clark just comes up with the documents for his new identity.

Clark mentioned how Chloe (who is thankfully gone) and Ollie (who is also apparently gone) supplied the new identity. Clark, however, was the one who enrolled him in Smallville High.

And thanks for ruining Lois with all the botox and silicone comments folks. I thought she looked great, and her in the barn was one of the highlights of the episode. Damn you all.

I suspect you are joking around, but a show like this has a completely unpleasable fanbase. It also doesn't help that the Internet is a cesspool of "Everything Sucksism".

When the show doesn't do things the fans want, they complain. When it does to things the fans want, they complain. When there is nothing to complain about, they find stupid things to complain about.

Not saying that people have to be only talk about good things, but it seems these threads have degraded into "Why tonight's episode sucked" or "Who can have the wittiest anonymous slam against the show".

I hope this ep is good...it should have some great cliff hangers being the last ep before another hiatus.
Hiatus? Thank god. I need a break.
This kinda helps my point. No one is forcing you to watch it. Happy that a break coming seems to run counter to being a fan of a show.

I wonder if his appearances in the last few episodes are part of his original pay or play contract. He was still under contract for future episodes when they killed him off a few seasons ago.
Of this, I have no idea (or even if he had a "pay or play"). However, it would seem odd that they would wait three seasons (particularly in regards with budget and potential legal issues). Also, considering that the last time they had an actor with a few remaining episodes in her contract, they did it the very next season.

At first, I thought Lex was gonna rise up from the dead or something. It was nice to see Darkseid in the flesh finally. Hope he sticks around, unlike the glasses.

In fairness, Clark hasn't been places where he has needed the glasses. In the last few episodes, he has been around friends/people who already know. When the show returns to the Planet, the glasses should logically reappear (although, whether they do is anyone's guess). I suppose you can make a case for "Fortune" that Clark should have been wearing glasses, but they were under a spell, so it is easier to look the other way (though, I guess that doesn't explain the following day)

Interesting. I never knew that. I've seen the actor before, but I don't remember where.

Sometimes you just need a break.

That's seems to be true, mostly, but not using the glasses comes off more like a return to the status quo as opposed to something that makes sense within the story.

I have two words for you

Phoebe Cates.

(and some more words.)

She's a porn star who is looking for the mother who abandoned her in the first and looking for the father who rejected her in the second. In both cases she is Mamma-Mia-ing from three prospective options.

Jesus.

Phoebe Cates!

Remember in fast times at Ridgemont high when she took her top off?

That was just a seminal moment in 80s-ania.

Yes, I do. A classic film moment. :shifty: Still Ms Cates is not enough to make me watch Lace or Lace II.

My internet is back!

I thought it was Good episode probably boarding on Excellent.

Lots of good stuff in this episode and really, guys, I think the Botox comments towards Lois were uncalled for. She looked good and I personally don't she looks too Botox-ed up. The scene in the barn where she pulls her foot back to mess with her shoe. Oh man....

If I was Lex, Clonnel, Lextin Bieber or whatever his name was I'd eye-jizz all over the place too.

Good episode, wish my modem hadn't gotten fried forcing me to be off the internet and I that I could have been here.

I guess Justin Bieber is done now. :(

Cassidy Freeman is a wonder. She has somehow been able to maintain a consistent acting balance despite the crap the writers have tossed her character. Since Michael's departure she's one of the best actors on the show.

Agreed. Especially considering all the zigzags her character has taken.

She's a bad guy! She's a good guy! She worships Lex! She hates him! She's Green Arrow's ex! She's a secret Checkmate agent! She's in bed with Zod! She was raised by Granny Goodness! She's Lionel's daughter! She's Alexander's mommy! She wants to kill Alexander! She's making out with Emil?

At this rate, we're going to find out she's actually Kryptonian any day now . . . .

I must say Greg, you covered her character-arc quite well!

Yeah I've been on this from the first change to Tess's character when Lana came back in season eight and revealed that Lex was using her to spy on everyone. Like usual, what started out as a fascinating character has turned out into a parody.

Thanks, and I didn't even mention the part where she got turned on by stomping some guy to death! :)

Wanna bet she ends up being one of Lois's bridesmaids--despite their various catfights?

I think that's a given since she's all pally wally with everyone now. I still think Tess is gonna be a Fury. Her programming is gonna kick in somehow.

No clark glasses again

yeah yeah yeah, he's been around people who already know... but still, he needs to get use to wearing them, and everyone knowing Clark as wearing glasses

Who cares if he flew or not. We all have learned by now that everyone can freakin fly on this show other than Clark because of their little reinforced motto. We're more than half way through the final season and Clark Kent has not flown yet. Is it truly any wonder why so many fans are disgruntled and bash this show? It brings it on it's self.

He was a pompous ass.

Kept saying that his son had a destiny no matter how hard he fucked up and kept calling Lex a rotten toad no matter how hard he tried to be a good man... And considering Lexmas, Luthor's end game at one point was for Jonathan to think of him as a son and a good man.
