Although the '90s reprint of the Concordance incorrectly credited Doohan with quite a few voices that are clearly not his, including a number that I'm fairly certain were done by Lennie Weinrib, an actor who did other work for Filmation around that time including most of the villains and Commissioner Gordon in Filmation's second Batman series, and whose nasal voice is quite distinctive.

I'd greatly appreciate some specifics on that front, since a big part of the latest update to the Concordance is to do a significantly better job at it than the '91 version. I know I've corrected a lot of entries with regard to TAS, but I also know that Doohan did a helluva lot of voices, sometimes half of the characters in a given episode (and I watched the whole damn series to make sure it was him).

Count me among the fans of TAS. I really liked how the animation allowed it to be far more "fantastic" than the live-action series, with bizarre aliens, planetscapes, etc.

I've never seen a single episode of TAS. I've heard so many good things about it, that i think when i have a few extra bucks i will pick it up.

Do it Randi. It's a good show. The only thing I didn't like about it was the lack of Chekov. Oh well, At least Koenig contributed to the show by writing one episode.

The concept of Chekov switching over to security was also on the cards for "Phase II" (a Chekov "Phase II" redshirt uniform was auctioned off diring the "It's a Wrap" eBay auctions of Paramount costumes and props) and of course came to fruition in ST:TMP.

OK! So i bin'd TAS and it arrived yesterday. Watched the first two eps. Not bad, not awesome. The animation is lacking....the music is very distracting...but the stories were ok. The opening theme sounds like Star Trek TOS and Dallas had a baby together! I can't say i loved the two eps that i watched, but i'm glad i got the set and do look forward to watching more.

Heh, one thing that sticks in my mind...when they go to the overhead shot of the bridge, Uhura always looks drunk. They have her sort of slumped down and over in her seat. LOL!
