The positive part of the timing is that I should be discharged (either to home or to rehab -- either option will do) on my birthday.

Hmm, I just bought some clothes -- nice, soft knit stuff that should be comfy after surgery but still look nice -- at J.Jill, and they call the pale gray color "marble." I hope that isn't a bad sign!

I'm quite cheery this evening. Got all my pre-op stuff over with this afternoon -- blood work, EKG, etc. The doctor was so cute and so nice, I was ready to bring him home w/ me!
