I heard Portman deserved it. I just don't like her though.

I guess Annette Bening will never win an Oscar. She was SO robbed for American Beauty (back in 2000).

I like that Natalie Portman won. One of my favourite actresses.
She was good in American Beauty. A well-acted movie with even better cinematography but completly overrated as far as I'm concerned. My pick for Best Picture that year wasn't even nominated, Being John Malkovich.

Losing twice to that HACK Hilary Swank stung. This I can live with, because Portman actually deserved the award.
I thought Firth was outstanding. I'm pulling for him. Bridges was good in True Grit but Firth was better. Always been a fan of James Franco since Freaks and Geeks so if he wins, I wouldn't mind. Eisenberg did a great job making his character unlikeable but it felt too much like a parody.
Colin Firth is so sexy. I could just eat him up with lemon pudding.

I think winning in American Beauty would have been hard. She was greatly over the top in a couple scenes there most notably her adulterous sex scene.
I would love Jesse to win, but it's Colin's award.
I thought Swank was better both times; certainly the second time (where Bening's performance was the least of the five in the category).
Oh yeah, that scene was really over-the-top.
