Candles, wine, bath, book, lotions, potions and blood ~ much blood!

So it's Friday, the Men are out and I thought pamper time.
Bath etc ~ read the title I'm fading out with blood lose.
Gorgeous bubble bath, expensive lotions, potions (they were a present!) hair stuff etc.

If you are faint of heart Stop reading now...

So I thought as I'm pampering I may as well 'de-hair' my legs also. Well that didn't work out too well!...

I have no idea, or want to know, what my razor has been used for but the fact that it took half my knee-cap off is not good. There was much blood, the bath went a bit pink and my immediate thoughts were...
'I have to leave a note saying this was not a suicide attempt'.
'Can you tell the Cat to stop using my razor'.
'How do you spell tourniquet?'.

So anyway knee is now well bound and has stopped 'leaking'.

So inviting other stories of "a relaxing night that did not go to plan"

OW! Next time, go with some Nair instead.

Luckily, the only times I've ever really nicked my legs badly have been tiny, little stingy cuts that you don't pay much attention to, until there's blood on the floor Usually, a small Band-Aid is all it takes.

Eat something with a high iron content and put a little ice on the cut. Might help you feel better.

Only a true Klingon would bathe in blood. :klingon:

Razors are murder. I switched to an epilator and haven't looked back since. Lasts longer. too.

Most of my solo pamper yourself days go like this, last time I had a few days to myself, my grandfather was taken ill, and I ended up taking care of two kids and their home. On top of that, I caught as bad a flu as I've ever had. It was quite the peaceful relaxing time.

I agree, but I wouldn't include epilating as part of a relaxing night.

I so had some cream as well and, with hindsight, it would have been a much better idea.
But I was in the bath already and would have meant getting out, doing your legs, washing off in the sink and getting back in the bath again ~ which was all to much for by 'relaxed Friday brain' to cope with.
But Auntie, you are totally right ~ I'm not letting a blade near these for a while!
Or I'm just going to pretend I've got my winter coat on

And turn it into wine afterwards :klingon:
I'm not going to drink it ~ I'm going to sell it on Ebay ;)

Um, but isn't that the one that pulls the hair out by the roots? Sounds painfull :wtf:

I remember the days when Man and I were in love and he would wax them for me ~ he has a mean streak ~ or maybe just wants to hear me howl :vulcan:

It's not completely painless, but the first time is definitely the worst! I've never found it relaxing.

I have this one. Rechargeable, but it works better if it's plugged in. The extra fittings are useless.

I do try to entertain :)
And, thank you, I'm actually really flattered at being refered to as girly because the people that know me IRL are scared of me ~ wimps

Well anything's worth a go...
But it is the look on Man's face when he rips the wax strips of ~ he know's he's causing me pain and he likes it...

I've just typed that and thought that there may be something very wrong in our relationship :guffaw:

Re: Candles, wine, bath, book, lotions, potions and blood ~ much blood

I don't find it to be very painful at all, it's not like plucking your eyebrows or anything like that! Probably depends a lot on which you're using, there's some variation in quality, and the older models tend to hurt a lot more apparently.

Re: Candles, wine, bath, book, lotions, potions and blood ~ much blood

My cat freaks out when the epilator comes out, and attacks the nearest object with some trepidation.

Re: Candles, wine, bath, book, lotions, potions and blood ~ much blood

Guess I have been lucky...I shave my head every morning in the shower, but I almost never cut myself - not even on the back of my head, which obviously I can't see...

Well, definitely don't tell them the part about the razor-wielding cat . . .

How long have you been married? I suspect my mister might like inflicting pain (that I've asked him to) a little too much! Ah Love - it's great - it just makes you a little stupid!

That would be an evening of WoW and the power goes off because a tree fell down somewhere.

Doesn't make much of a story, lol.
