Ah, your selection is definitely versatile (musically and linguistically), but I love it! So, here were have French, American and German artists (and how great that you picked the languages I speak so I can understand them).I'm in an odd mood so this selection is probably a bit weird:

1. Zaz - Je Veux
I've never heard of this artist before, but I really like them/her. (I thought it was a band but the Last.fm search shows it's an alias of a singer.) It's a little bit jazzy, a bit chanson-like, and very catchy. The lyrics are very simple, but I like what she's saying (i.e. singing).
2. Ruth Etting - Shine on Harvest Moon
Oh, I love me some oldies. I've never listened to this lady, but she has a lovely voice. So this is from Ziegfried Follies? I've never been into musicals (unless we're talking the Buffy musical episode or Tim Burton's Sweeney Todd), but I like the music. (I guess it's just dancing that bores me.)
3. Angelika Express - Copyright Killer
I've never heard of this band before, either, but this is excellent. What a great baseline. When they started singing I expected it to be more of an industrial track, since that's what I'm used to with German bands, but it sounds like simply a great rock tune. The vocals are just OK, but the rest is really good.
