I don't know if I would go as far as to call Quorra's role sexist...it is clear that she is a stereotype in an sci-fi action flick but really I wasn't expecting her role to be any stronger or prominent than it was meant to be. Kind of a classic romantic interest/action hero role in my opinion. It is worthy to note that she and Sam did not kiss during the entire movie. The closest they come really is at the end of the film when she's riding on Sam's bike during the sun rise she kind of settles her head and mouth on the back of his neck. She simply is content. I wonder if that is a conscience decision on the part of the writers and director to not to have them kiss? It is something I found noticeably interesting.
Good. The script for Tron: Legacy was one of the weakest elements of the film.
What an extraordinary thought!
The designs were updated very nicely indeed, as was some of the score. And being fond of the original Tron, I appreciated that very much. But where Tron was wonderfully fresh and original, Tron Legacy visually and sonically is just a remake. It has no originality at all. The script was what saved Tron Legacy from complete mediocrity.
The whole premise of the inside of a computer being like its own little world, complete with little inhabitants, is exactly parallel to the idea of the inside of the human body being its own little world, complete with little inhabitants. (And lasering someone in or out is equally nuts.) This sow's ear of a premise wasn't made into a silk purse by Tron's brilliant designs and score. Don't let a haze of nostalgia deceive you.

You do know there is no such thing as a new story ? Everything is just a new interpretation of older stories.

Flynn, the lead hero of Tron, becoming the villain (as CLU,) and sacrificing himself to stop "himself," may have been an old story. (Or may not.) But it was a less commonly used old story than Tron's, which was basically, hero beats bad guy.
