Proton packs? Awesome.

I made this necklace last night:

This is the reverse of the pendant:

I have to re-do both sides- the resin didn't set properly, and looks wrinkled now. :scream:

^Those are wonderful!

Today I was treated to a special bit of platform entertainment while waiting for the train in the Bronx. A cheerful NYPD officer borrowed some drumsticks from a busker and they played an awesome duet. I just wish I new how to operate the video on my phone!

That's great! About a month ago I was treated to a harpist playing beautiful music in the Vermont/Sunset subway station here in LA.

^

From jewelry to food- My sister gave me Julia Child's Mastering the Art of French Cooking for Christmas, and I'm going through the recipes. I made Boeuf à la Bourguignonne- it took all Sunday afternoon to make, but it was worth it:

Mind the horrible angle. I made this for a friend of mine, but he donated it when he moved out and had no place to store it. Thus I wore it around campus, Halloween, circa 2006.

^ :techman: you should market them!

Which line out of curiosity? I went to college in the Bronx and the 1 train was practically my second home.

I saw a PBS special years ago about subway performemers. It was interesteding. Many of them are real talented.

I never gave money to panhandlers, but gave money to entertainers, be it actual drummers, 5 gallon bucket drummers, violinists, rappers, sax players, etc.

My all time favorite had to be the a couple guys that managed to breakdance on a subway car, while a couple of their buddies did an a capella beat.

Went back to the family homestead this week and took some photographs of the pretty bits around the town:

I wanted to take pictures of the City too, but 90% of it was "under construction" or being dug up, so all I had left was the cathedral, the river and the Castle Green.

But some of the pics came out well I think.

The Cathedral is rather beautiful!
