BolianAuthor, I think you keep wanting it to be wider, only because the original's neck went all the way across. That won't work in this case, with the way the back part of the neck blends in, and since the top of this secondary hull isn't flat.

Why not adopt a teardrop top profile to the neck, then? Wider at the front, and tapering to a narrower point at the aft?

Thanks, guys.And, thanks to all of those that kept on me... I'm really glad I re-did those the way I did.
OK, did some more... I detailed the nacelles some more, and started the saucer. I'm going with the idea (right now) that I'm going to do one row of vertical windows around that thin rim of the saucer, kind of like the E-D has got. Not sure how that'll look, yet, but we'll see.
