I'm pretty sure my neighbors are running a brothel.

Well, the thing is this muisc plays every night and it's for hours on end. The music is so loud that, as I said, it can be heard quite clearly inside my walls -which means the music is really loud considering the two walls and 8-10 feet of air between our two places and is louder than most "normal apartment noise."

. . . I've considered complaining to the office but, feh. It doesn't really bother me much beyond a "WTF is going on over there?"
Really? It would drive me absolutely bonkers.

If my neighbor were playing loud music after 10 p.m. every goddamn night, first I'd go over there and politely ask them to turn it down. If the problem continued, I'd tell the building owner. If that didn't work, I'd call the cops. People need to show some consideration for others. And there are local noise ordinances for when they don't.

But you could go over there and dance, meet fun people, and look at cool furniture. I'd say the pros outweigh the cons by a country mile!

The loud music would bother me, too. Occasionally, that's fine. We're all having parties or friends over from time to time, but every night? I have some loud neighbours, too, but unfortunately, I can't locate them exactly and thus can't complain.
There's a brothel not far from where I live but it looks rather quiet.

A friendly introduction, followed by a request to lower the volume should be done first. If the noise is that loud and constant, call the police to investigate a violation of noise ordinance. I also find that a friendly request while holding a loaded weapon works wonders!:techman:

I have been blessed with good neighbors. One one side (about 100 yards away) is an older couple who have lived there almost 50 years. On the other side (about 25 yards away) is my newest neighbor who is a supervisor at the Freightliner plant. He's single, quiet and- to my knowledge- not a serial killer.

I don't dance. The last time I tried to, I sprained my groove thing.

Really. Hm. Do they accept traveler's checks?

Maybe they are terrorist secretly building bombs and using the music to mask the noise of them putting the bombs together?

Because if there's one tenet of terrorist tactics it's "attract as much attention to yourself before you near the target as possible."
