Time Traveller in Charlie Chaplin Feature?

Why exactly are people so surprised to see an electronic hearing aid?

I'm actually much more surprised by another image that showed up the same time this video was mentioned over at Geekologie.
It's strange how modern the guy near the right edge looks:

Styles echo each other. His glasses are a part of that era, his sweater is a part of that era, and he's holding an old camera (well, old to us).

The only really “modern” looking thing about that guy is that he isn't wearing a hat.

Good heavens, it's me! Sometime in the future, I will go into the past! :cardie:

Too modern? Do people really believe that all people of a certain time period all dressed and looked exactly the same? :guffaw: Holy shit, go outside and look around, for fuck's sake.

Nope. There were no satellites or cell towers in 1928.
Sorry.
But if you can travel through time than I'm sure they figured out this problem and they are calling some friend in the future to say "hey look at me! i'm on DVD".

Well, you've seen the films. Don't you know that in the year 3000 we'll all be wearing silver jump suits?

First off, a lot of you need to go find where you left your imagination and have it re-installed.

Okay, sure this is undoubtedly a fake and/or viral promotion for something this guy is gonna do. This is the internet, it happens, get over it.

Let's play with the idea for a moment, though: how freaking cool would it be for the existence of time-travel to be discovered like this. Think there's a story or movie there somewhere.

Plenty of people have had fun with the idea while not taking it seriously, but debunking/finding alternate explanations for things can be fun too. It doesn't mean you lack imagination. Or do you dislike Mythbusters as well?

It's not something you can really "test" in the lab or the field though, so not really a Mythbusters type thing. Plus, there wouldn't be any explosions, crashes, cool chemical reactions, or anything like that involved, so it would be pretty boring.
