"Improbable Cause"/"The Die is Cast" Line-by-Line

Garak: The Jem'Hadar will destroy every ship if we stay. Our only hope is to return to the Aplha Quadrant.

LOVOK: There's no way out of here, Garak. The Jem'Hadar have cut us off. We need to consolidate the fleet and make our stand here.

LOVOK: Bridge to Engineering. We need power to the weapons. Bridge to Engineering, respond. I'll be in Engineering. Tain, take command of the Bridge.

Question: If Lovok was letting Odo go because no Changeling has ever harmed another, or in this case through inaction allowed harm to come to another, why did he not order Jem'Hadar not to fire on the runabout?

GARAK: You are one of the Founders?

^ That's the biggest plot hole of the episode, also that Lovok would allow Odo to be tortured is a significant plot hole too. He's allowing Odo to be harmed by sitting around and doing nothing.

Odo: Of course, this whole plan was the Founders idea in the first place. You wanted the Tal Shiar and the Obsidian Order to combine forces and come into the Gamma Quadrant so you could wipe them out.

LOVOK: Not exactly. Tain originated the plan, and when we learned of it we did everything we could to carry it forward. The Tal Shiar and the Obsidian Order are both ruthless, efficient organizations. A definite threat to us.

Kind of similar to how "In Purgatory's Shadow" suggested Bashir had been replaced by a Changeling during the previous four episodes, meaning this Changeling performed surgery on Sisko and was at Kira's false labor. Maybe so he didn't blow his cover before the time came to carry out his mission.

ODO: But not after today.

For that I just decided that Bashir brought the old uniform with him to the conference where he was abducted. He was abducted while asleep, so they had to bring clothes for him.

For the Uniform stated it would take 2 weeks to repair the Defiant and she's good to go by that In Purgatory's Shadow, and who know show much time They were in the badlands hunting Eddington. And how much space between that and In Purgatory's shadow. I tend to believe the abduction took place very soon after the Birth of Kirayoshi and the restoration of Odo's powers.

Back to the line by line:

Lovok: After today, the only real threats to us from the Alpha Quadrant are the Klingons and the Federation. And I doubt either one of them will be a threat for much longer. It's not too late for you, Odo. Come with me. You can still become one with the Great Link if you wish.
