I overcharged my poor credit card with more Ikea stuff.

I bought, among other things, some pillows, a table, a buffet, 2 chairs, wardrobe interior, a desk, a plant and some kitchen stuff.

Ick. Too much money!

I bought my wife one of those dolls within a doll within a doll within a doll, etc while I was in Czech republic. Also bought her a harry potter marionette with a real Czech porcelain head and feet.

Donuts, dessert wine, peanut butter fudge, and other delicious things from a random trip to Michigan. :)

Well, I did buy a pork roast, which I will be cooking in the crockpot with some potatoes and carrots.

Beyond that, I'm not sure. Something chickeny? I want to take advantage of my grill while the weather is still nice enough to use it.

I went for a bag of potatoes but at the shop I found myself standing next to the rack of light bulbs and actually remembered that I needed some of those, so I picked up...
  • 2 incandescent 40W E14 bulbs (it's the only kind that fit into my antique bedside reading lamp)
  • 3 10W G4 halogen bulbs (I'm going through a pack of these every month or two -I think something is wonky with the electronics of my lighting)
  • 2 fluorescent 5W E14 2700 K (=warm white) bulbs for the lighting behind my ancient CRT TV.

Oh, and I picked up a bottle of some rather nice port from 1991

This system I bought back in the dark ages (when I was 17 iirc) continually needs new up-dates...

...just bought three more shelves :p

Chocolates.

There's a brilliant little chocolaterie near me. Their latest confectionary delight: seville orange slices steeped in syruped rosewater and then half-coated in dark chocolate.

Oh. My. God.

Today I went to the Salvo Op Shop (charity shop). I bought a book "Australian Dangerous Creatures for Dummies", 2 pillowslips, a large towel and a cardigan. Total cost was around $14.

At another store I bought a glass paper weight for $5.95. I also bought $25 worth of groceries at the supermarket.

I also paid a $44 dollar bill for a filling I had at the dental school about a month ago.
