Back to the Future cinema re-release USA & UK October

My favourite film of all time, eek I can't wait to see this on the big screen. Going Saturday night with some friends, gonna be great.

After that I'll probably go see it another 5 times while its still showing!

The UK only? Who cares about the stinking UK. :p

Is there a list online somewhere? I can't google one up. :(

Not that I've seen, but I have seen it advertised at the local cineworld. just says on bttf.com that it's approximately 200 cinemas for a 2 week limited run.

Full list of UK screens:

200 screens and the nearest one to me is 100 miles away.

Fucking pricks, whoever they are.

Awesome; it's in my local cinema. Think I'll try to catch it this weekend, or maybe next Monday. So happy!

I was excited to hear about this, but my roommate tells me that it's being shown via digital projection instead of 35mm film. Does anyone know if this is true? If it is, I see no reason not to wait for the Blu-Ray.

Saw it Yesterday, first time i've ever seen BTTF at the cinema and my god it looked gorgeous. I love this film anyway, seen it a million times but the scene at the end gets me going every single time. I highly recommend it. :P

Fret not. As the change in thread title demonstrates, Universal has since announced that the movie will be screening in dozens of AMC theaters across the United States. I'm really psyched that it's showing in as many markets as it is. Very often, when a film will get a limited 10 market release, it won't come to Phoenix even though we're the 5th largest city in the country. (What's so special about Dallas or Philadelphia?) But this time, it's showing in at least 4 different theaters across the Phoenix area!

The frustrating thing is I can't get any of my friends to go with me. They're either going to a different theater on the exact opposite side of town or they're going out of town or they're going to some sort of Star Wars themed charity event or they're the proprietor & sole employee of a seasonal Halloween store.:(

I was too young to see the 1st movie in theaters originally. In fact, I've never seen any of the movies on the big screen. I orginally caught them on VHS... in reverse order. But the movies became a major part of my childhood. They're like cinematic gospel to me.

25th anniversary? Wouldnt 30th anniversary be a better opportunity for a re-release? Of course no one says it cant be done again in 5 years. ;)

That's when they should rerelease Back to the Future, Part II: "On Wednesday, October 21, 2015!" Then we can lament that we don't have hoverboards and count ourselves lucky that they never got around to making those other 15 Jaws sequels.;)
