Back to the Future cinema re-release USA & UK October

Re: Back to the Future U.K.-only cinema Autumn re-release

I'm going to try and take my nieces to this. I have the DVDs but it'd be cool to see it on the big screen.

Re: Back to the Future U.K.-only cinema Autumn re-release

We took the one person left in the world who hadn't seen Avatar* to see it last night. There was an extended trailer for the BttF films all digitally remastered.

*It said "Special Edition" and we stupidly didn't understand what that meant. Bloody hell. Talk about a numb butt. I thought the original edition was over long but that was ridiculous and it did absolutely nothing to enhance the film.

Re: Back to the Future U.K.-only cinema Autumn re-release

I still have not seen Avatar in any way shape or form beyond the trailer.

wish they would re-release BTTF int he US. I saw it back in the 1985 when it first came out and it was awesome on the big screen back then and would be again today.

Re: Back to the Future U.K.-only cinema Autumn re-release

well, shit. i'd love to see that but won't have the money.

oh, and i've not seen Avatar either. i've only seen clips.

Re: Back to the Future U.K.-only cinema Autumn re-release

Wow, BTTF back in theatres might actually get me to the cinema for the first time in years.

PS. hope it's a wide re-release and not just one or two central London theatres because I really can't be bothered going into London if I can help it at all these days.

PPS. I haven't seen Avatar either, and have zero inclination to do so.

Re: Back to the Future U.K.-only cinema Autumn re-release

I got to see 'Back to the Future' at a screening last month, and it was a total blast. Love this flick.

Apparently 200 cinemas round the country. Hull's apparently getting it so I would assume it's pretty wide.

Is there a list online somewhere? I can't google one up. :(

Not that I've seen, but I have seen it advertised at the local cineworld. just says on bttf.com that it's approximately 200 cinemas for a 2 week limited run.

Re: Back to the Future U.K.-only cinema Autumn re-release

Ah, OK thanks.

Guess I'll have to keep an eagle eye out come October.

Re: Back to the Future U.K.-only cinema Autumn re-release

25th anniversary? Wouldnt 30th anniversary be a better opportunity for a re-release? Of course no one says it cant be done again in 5 years. ;)

I wish I could go see it.

When I was living in Savannah, GA they held a special screening of it in the park (big screen and everything), but I had to miss it.

Full list of UK screens:

200 screens and the nearest one to me is 100 miles away.

Fucking pricks, whoever they are.

^ Ah, but before you bemoan your lot too much, remember that you're surrounded by chicks with British accents. :p

100 miles to your nearest, and all 4 of the cinemas in Hull have it... what's going on there then?

Fuck I want to go see this but I've been coughing up blood for the last week and a half and don't think it's the best thing to be doing in a cinema.

My nearest cinema is showing it:D
Not sure if I'm going. Cinema trips are one of the things that can make you look sad going alone.
