Just ordered me this pretty boy:

DEVILMAYCRY3RealArtworkSeriesDante3D.jpg

Bottle of Olbas Oil and some expectorant linctus yesterday. Sinuses were really stuffy, for some unknown reason, making me feel light-headed/dizzy. Never had that feeling without an infection/fever before. Better now, anyway... :)

I have lived all my life firmly believing that it is never, ever a waste of good money if you spend it on books. :techman:

Even if that book is called "History of TrekBBS"? :)

Like Larry David would say, "It's not a book, it's a pamphlet."

Blah blah Big Blue, blah blah Enterpriser, blah blah electrical superstorms blah blah MadBaggins blah blah Chase Masterson blah blah... am I missing anything?

Today I bought...

Three tablets of 500 mg azithromycin for myself and the skin of a bright red muppet for my cat (I seriously thought she'd move in here today!)

I got three HDMI cables (2m each) today.

^This reminds me: could anyone here recommend me any cheap(ish) external (USB-)graphic-card?

I've tried this little silver plastic box with a blue and black logo glued on to it (very expensive looking detail on a cheap little thing :wtf:); 'Forward Video' -apparently it isn't too happy running on my system - or perhaps it's Windows not happy with the little box... Anyways: does anyone here know any kind of USB-to-HDMI device that actually works?

We got a 27" iMac. Learning how to switch from PC. Not hard, but there's lots of little things different to really use the Mac right.

Become a fan of keyboard shortcuts.

Weird :rommie:

I actually thought that was a PC-thing!!!

[sizeVerySmall]Yeah, right, I haven't been on a Mac since.... oh, I dunno... maybe sometime in the late eighties... (plz excuse my indifference to the system I discarded due to conditions then)[/size]

I have just ordered two books from Book Depository

They are

Islamic Arts by Sheila Blair
Operation Napoleon by Arnaldur Indridason. He is an Icelandic crime mystery writer and one of my favourite authors. This is the first book I have read of his that isn't a part of his Inspector Erlendur series. I hope I enjoy it as much. This is what the Amazon blurb says about it

1945: a German bomber flies over Iceland in a blizzard; the crew have lost their way and eventually crash on the Vatnajökull glacier, the largest in Europe. Inexplicably, there are both German and American officers on board. One of the senior German officers claims that their best chance of survival is to try to walk to the nearest farm and sets off, a briefcase handcuffed to his wrist. He soon disappears into the white vastness.1999, mid-winter, and the US Army is secretively trying to remove an aeroplane from the Vatnajökull glacier. By coincidence two young Icelanders become involved – but will pay with their lives. Before they are captured, one of the two contacts his sister, Kristin, who will not rest until she discovers the truth of her brother’s fate. Her pursuit puts her in great danger, leading her on a long and hazardous journey in search of the key to the riddle about Operation Napoleon.
