Smallville Summer Hiatus Thread III (Spoilers)

They should give him a buttload of cash. The fans will be pissed if they can't get him back due to money. But it's the last season so maybe the suits don't give 2 shits about upsetting the fans.

Here is how I would like things to pan out...the last 3 eps wrap up Darkseid, Brings back MR as Lex & the show ends in iconic Superman fashion. Am I asking too much?

So each season is "darker' than the last. Yet none have actually been "dark."

Heck, SV's darkest episode would fall somewhere in the middle of DS9--which, in turn, really wasn't that dark of a show either. What's even more funny, is said episode occurred way back in season 3.

That's really is turning into a bad joke.

Well the clone storyline as I've said certainly set up for Mike to come back.

Or and this is a real cheap and stupid idea have the clone not resemble Rosenbaum at all. Say he mixed his DNA with Lana.

This new Lex would not have 7 years of all the baggage the old one had (I SAW YOU GET HIT BY MY CAR!!)

Perhaps Rosenbaum was unhappy with how is original exit from the show was written in season 7? Or how Lex was brought back in the form of a stand-in without him? Or unhappy with ideas pitched for his return?

You know, crazy thought, that after 10 years that he suspects TPTB still have no idea how to create a satisfying ending for his version of the character. Other than the generic and obvious notions of "Lex Luthor = Superman's archenemy".

Doc Brown: Dear Clark, If my calculations are correct, you will receive this letter immediately after you saw the DeLorean struck by lightning. First, let me assure you that I'm alive and well. I've been living happily these past 8 months in the year 1885. The Lightning bolt that hit the DeLorean cause a gigawat overload which scrambled the time circuits, activated the flux capacitor and, and sent me back to 1885. The overload shorted out the time circuits and destroyed the flying circuits. Unfortunately the car will never fly again. I set myself up as a blacksmith, as a front while I attempted to repair the damage to the time circuits.

There's two ways to handele the clone thing.

Go the star gate route where all the clones are self indulgent bastards just flouting about or go the Matrix route where 900 cgi Luthors attack Clark at the same time.

OH!

Oliver "Where's clark?"

Bart "He's off doing the Neo thing."

The final shot of "Smallville" would be Superman soaring through Metropolis as a modified version of John Williams famous theme plays then we pan across the city to the newly built LexCorp building (replacing the destroyed Luthor Corp building in the battle against Darkseid) we cut inside of a plush, spartan office and reveal Lex Luthor standing at the window staring at Superman. He smiles ever so slightly and says... "Hello Clark. " then we cut to black.

I kind of want to see a small montage of Welling in the \S/uit doing Superman type stuff as "Save me" plays.

Ideally I like the way SR ends with Brandon flying doing all the various Superman flying moves...I mentioned this before but it would be nice way to end.

Okay screw my break...I'll just confine myself to one or two threads including this one. Almost one more week to go before this one fades away and we bust out the weekly episode threads. Dark AC!!! I wanna see Dark Bart!!!

That isn't a bad idea...can we call SDCU (remember it stands for Smallville DCU) the mirror universe DCU? Or the Batman as Superman Universe? LOL.

Sweet! I like that idea.

:techman:

Unfortunately, what we'll end up getting from the PSW won't be nearly as brilliant as what you propose. Like you, if they decide to pull a Season 11 out of their collective rumps, I'm outta here.

Though I suppose that ultimately, it would depend on AM's participation. No Chlo, no Pro!

I don't think they will do that...they are already putting "Final Season" in promos...going for a S11 will just look ridiculous. I think we are safe.

Just got our new TV Guide with its fall preview... On Page 93, Welling is quoted as saying that Clark MAY finally get to try on the suit, but not before we earn it... through struggle and growth.

Say what? I think after nine seasons, we've damn well earned it!

Also, he hints at a certain twist heading CK's way... What's that all aboot?
