Smallville Summer Hiatus Thread III (Spoilers)

Has to be a vision thing or they are using deleted scenes in the promos again. :rommie:

Who created it though? I mean, in the stories its Ma Kent, but here, it looks like JorEl, but how could he have known to make it way before hand, and why only now is it there

Hmmmm....I could agree with either of those two statements knowing them. We get this awesomeness (yes I'm going to go ahead and call it awesomeness) but no episode 8/9 guest star news!!! Grrrrrr

Lois finds the Martha kent sewn suit in the barn. So the safest place(HA! after 5 years of people coming and going from the fortress) is the fortress

It was implied that Martha sewed the suit and it was the box that was given to Clark at the end of last season. In "Superman: Secret Origins" and "Birthright" I think it was retconned that Martha made the suit after watching archival Kryptonian data. In Secret Origin both Jonathon and Martha interact with the Jor-El simulcrum as they have in "Smallville".

Yep Lois was shown to find the suit in the barn in the trailer from comic con...

I think at this point they will show all kinds of crap in promos just to get you to tune in but the actual eps won't have it...they have done this before in the ep with Christina Milian...I remember it showed Clark holding the cape and smiling and saying "a hero" this wasn't even included on the DVD as a deleted scene...the scene from the show shows Clark holding the cape and looking serious and then it(the cape) is on the fence as he walks away. I very well could have dreamed it up...but I swear the promo for "Action" showed him smiling and holding the cape saying those words...I tried to find it on YT but no luck.

That one ^^^ just shows at the end him looking at the cape. :(

Of course there was Lois and clark when Superman met Tempus for the first time (Pun? Gods.)...

"Honestly. A cape, tights, underwear on the outside? What's wrong with you? You're a grown man!"

"My Mother made it for me."

^
Maybe there can be a Kryptonian symbiote? Blue ooze comes out a crater and attaches itself to Clark and forms a \S/uit?

But Lo doesn't know about the FoS, so I'm with you on your question: How does the suit get up there to be iced?

I'm starting to get a bit more psyched after seeing that.

:techman:

They seem to be holding alot back with actual episode footage...I am thinking there might be some surprises eps 1-4.

^ Agreed. I will go out on a limb here and say he will fly sometime in the first half of this season...someone who is essentially the Flash right now (with super speed and a powered down array of Supes true abilities) can not possibly defeat Darkseid without flying lol.

I bet he'll fly soon after he has his conversation with Jonathon and all the self doubts and "darkest hour" crap is vanquished from his system. Remember that both Kara and Jor-El basically have told him not being able to fly is in his head and I have been of the heavy belief that this is now due to his self doubt and dark character arc. Once he has confidence in himself again and is ready to accept that he'll make mistakes and is able to rely on his friends instead of carrying the burden of being a hero on his own I'm sure we'll see him fly.

I really hope you're right about this AY, but I still can't shake the feeling that he really won't become Supes until the series finale. I'd really like to be wrong on this, but until we see a picture from early in the season of him in the suit, I'll remain a bit doubtful.
