Is anybody that dangerous...

Thanks, Robert. :techman:

A lot of them are OK, though, just a minority influence the rest. But, from what I've heard, chav culture is spreading through the UK and it could happen elsewhere. I don't think it will, cos people wouldn't allow it, and would remember a time when it didn't happen. It was fairly bad when it happened to me, an extremity, and it was followed by worse, but people went along with it, even the ones that read, cos the system is so oppressive. I could have done more about it.

You, at least, have said it was wrong, and I have waited a long time to hear it. Thanks.

I'm sorry, but if "chav culture" had become some kind of genuine epidemic in the UK, your society would've completely broken down by now.

Well, put it this way, you can get some people, who have very high status, because they are educational low achievers and understand a social system based on low acheivement, who can get the authorities to stop a relationship that would produce above average achieving offspring. Or even change a social system by example, by existing. It happens.
I swear I read you words but I can't understand them.

Glad I'm not the only one. Theres definitely some brain-damage going on here with Cheapjack.

It's permeated suburbia, to some extent. People in the London suburbs complain about it. There are intensified pockets around the country. I don't think it would get so bad in most places, that the underclass would feel so threatened, they would stop someone having a relationship. That's an extreme.

Good grief, that culture we call "chavs" is not spreading, it has always existed. Every few decades we just come up with a new name for it.

How old are you Cheapjack? As far as I can see things are pretty much the same now as they were 20 years ago.

You don't want chavs, believe me. They don't care about anyone other than themselves, breed prodigiously, permeate the social services, influence the culture and the police, bring their kids up to pick on your kids and won't let you have any, unless you agree for them to be picked on.

And they are totally dependent on everyone else, but refuse to admit it, and make everyone believe the myth that they are actually a tougher form of human, when they are not they are weaker.

Uhh, yeah. I don't think you'll find anyone defending chavs here. They just aren't the society-crushing epidemic you are making them out to be.

To be fair, 'chav' is a commendably onomatopoeic term, a true rose in the garden bed that is the English language.

Well, you can get situations where they are so powerful, they get the police to step in and stop a relationship, as it's a threat to them. Rare, but it happens. Hopefully only the once and never again, anywhere.

Please, provide me at least one example where police, at the behest of a chav, stepped into a relationship between two "high achievers" and prevented them from conceiving a child. Go ahead, I'll wait.

When? When, where and how did that happen?

I have been told on good authority, that it happened. It was more because it was a non-abusive relationship. It was just someone who was just trying to see how much power he had over the police. In most places, it's only the rich and powerful who can do it, in this case, it was a low achiever who was jealous. You can get some places where it is illegal to dance, there are some where it is almost illegal to make love. You believed me on the 'beaten for reading' tale, didn't you?

My head hurts. I have read every post and I'm totally confused as to what we're supposed to be discussing.

Actually, I'm not sure I believe anything you say. Half of what you say, I don't understand. The other half sounds too absurd to be true, and the way you say it leads me to think you're mentally unbalanced or something. No offense, but you might want to seek professional help. This stuff going on with you doesn't seem at all healthy.

It doesn't even matter how much power you have over the police, they don't have the legal authority or practical ability to break up a fricking relationship. Not to mention that there is categorically nowhere in the country where it is illegal to dance, unless you're talking about in the middle of the street or on train tracks or something.

Cheapjack you are wasting everyone's time here.

Robert, That's not what you said, a few posts ago. The bloke who did it drove his wife to alcholism.
