Not knowing and doing nothing is not the same as knowing and doing nothing. I mean, you can't very well boycott an actor for doing something you don't know he's done.
Now, if he starts raping children, I'll boycott him like that other piece of trash "artist"

Given the number of people involved in producing anything at all - a film, a bottle of milk, a piece of software - it's a safe bet that several of them are utterly reprehensible human beings. Why are you helping them? Talk about sticking your head in the sand.![]()
Hugh Laurie? Love the guy, awesome, awesome actor. For all I know he's a huge racist. He doesn't express that racism in hugely public ways.
^I think he just chose Hugh Laurie's name at random.
It was a pretty random name to choose, at that.
^ "Ignorance is bliss" is definitely applicable here. For every Mel Gibson you know about, you've probably inadvertently furthered the interests of thousands of people just like him.

And I know about Mel because Mel himself has made his hateful persona virtually IMPOSSIBLE to ignore
Who shall forgive him? The public? The media? You? Don't you think he couldn't care less about that?or he is so incredibly stupid as to think he would be forgiven for this stuff over and over and OVER.
Well, as said above, I don't think Mel cares.Either way, I want no part of him.
It's also always fun to watch other people do the exact same thing only trying to pretend they're not. Mel's actions and attitude are hard to take into context given what little we know of the reality behind them but if all we have is this, how else are we to gauge what is going on?

Do we even need to gauge what's going on? Why can't we just let them live their private lives?
Gibson, Sheen, Lohan, Hasselhoff, Bale, Spears, etc... the media is constantly monitoring every second of those people's lives waiting for a scandal to happen. And millions of people absorb the tabloids, and then brag about how horrible and how annoying they think they are. But actually it's none of their business.
Ok I don't know if this has been posted before, but Mel Gibson has been involved in a nasty car accident, though he survived.
It's our business if we want to make it our business.
Look we're free to discuss whoever we like. It's our business if we want to make it our business.
Oh, the arrogance.

You said why don't we just let them live their lives. Our discussions here cannot affect them in any way..and besides, you said Mel wouldn't care.
