thoughts? I know they needed a prop for the scene really quickly

I think he's bummed that they're on such a tight budget that they can't come up with something of THEIR own. They have to borrow someone elses and potentially wear a modified one for Well's physique.

Basically borrowing peoples clothes because they're so poor.

At least that's the way I would feel

The return of Kara (Laura Vandervoort) begins shooting today (Friday). Said Souders, "We're quite excited. You'll see a little bit more Supergirl than Kara in this episode. That's why [the episode is] called "Supergirl". And the thing is, when she comes in she is going to kind of shake up the world for all of our superheroes." They wouldn't say if that meant things would be shaken up in a good way or bad way, but Peterson noted, "It sends them in a very different direction."

Will Kara help influence her cousin in how he dresses? Say, maybe adding some red and blue to his superhero suit? "She might," replied Souders. "She's a fashion girl. She's knows how to accessorize." And will she teach Clark, finally, to fly? Said Peterson with a grin, "Well, funny you should ask that. That's all I'm gonna say. Funny you should ask that."

^Comic book Kara tried that before and quickly found out that just because he holds back that doesn't mean she's tougher than him.

Bahahahahahahahahahahaha!! That's awesome! Nah he's thinking man when is the Hellcats panel happening? I'd rather be hanging out with my new girls, Ashley Tisdale and Aly Michalka. When the hell did Kelly dye her hair brown? She used to be a hot blonde.

It's usually the other way round?

Is that "folliclism" to say that more brunettes dye their hair blonde than Blondes dye their hair Brunette?

It could be worse.

Welling could actually be forced to wear Routh's actual suit like the DS9 people had to do with the left over movie props, and the Allgoodthings props.

I gather it's a 'rights" questionthat they have to pay different money to use differnet costumes, lo design their own that they wiould have to lawyer up as a completely new tailor would be staking rights against the franchise...

If the Routh Superman is a faliure which is going to be rebooted soon, surely that would make the use of "his' suit instantly dated since all atempts to veer from timeleesness do tend to date redressed icons.

And will she teach Clark, finally, to fly? Said Peterson with a grin, "Well, funny you should ask that. That's all I'm gonna say. Funny you should ask that."

Must not get excited! Must not get excited!

You know, these guys (be it the old PTB's or the current) are complete dicks. They know after watching for nine seasons we'll watch just about any shit they put on screen, but all this teasing is getting so frakking tired.

Make him fly! Don't make him fly! Whatever! But stop trying to be cute, cuz that stopped being funny seven years ago when Clark slept-flew in "Rosetta" and everyone was like "Flying when awake is right around the corner!"

That said, when Superdick finally flys, imagine the orgasmic glory of ten years of build-up... it might just make the whole waiting for it worth it. But given the way they've CGIed the flying scenes for everyone else, I highly doubt it.

But what the heck, bring on Season Ten.

If he flies I'm not going to be geeking out or anything. I'll probably be meh. I was over him not flying years ago. As for them teasing the fans...come on...almost every show runner teases their fans with "important" stuff like that. To call them dicks is not really called for and trust me I'm as frustrated with the showrunners as any fan is. I just don't think name calling, even tongue in cheek is warranted.

C'mon, its all in light hearted fun, and if anyone takes it more seriously than that, then I can't be held responcible for that. Lets face it, if I really took issue with anything they did on Smallville I could just tune out like I did with Heroes, that's free will for you.

But Smallville's teasing has always been more than the likes of Chuck's producers being like "Sarah Connor's Chuck's Mummy and Whoa just wait...", and it can get frustrating, and if you can't vent in the anonymity of an internet message board, then sir, where can you?

Exactly. I wasn't attacking you or nothing...this thread is for ranting afterall, just for some odd reason I took offense. SUPERDICKERY is afoot!!! I blame the heat wave Vancouver has been going through the past three weeks. It's been making me cracky.

I think an episode like this would play very good on SMALLVILLE...

Superman The Animated Series "Knight Time"

Instead of Robin, Mia Dearden "Speedy" and instead of Batman...Green Arrow...this would involve Darkseid instead Brainiac.

I'm with ya on that one, AY, the temperatures and humidity here in Cleveberg have made me less than fun to be around.

Deadmeat does have a point, I too, get a little tired of the S & P hinting at stuff that either doesn't exactly happen, or it's like the last thing that happens in the last 30 seconds.

I've maintained all along that he won't be Supes until the series finale and even then, probably in the last 15 minutes at best. By that, I mean putting on the suit and actually being identified by that name. He may fly earlier than that, the trailer seemed to indicate that might happen, then again, that could've just been a super-leap we were seeing.

Dream on Alice, you'll get to Wonderland!

:p

I am in Wonderland with Avril...

@AY

I have a strong feeling Tom not being Superman has to do with TPTB at many levels and not TW...he said he has always been open to playing Superman in a movie and he sure would do it on SMALLVILLE(If need be I am guessing).

AY I wonder how you feel about my idea with Mia working with The Blur in helping Oliver...ala "Knight Time"?

I thought we got from them at comic con that Tom could be Superman even before the finale? When I read that I thought maybe they'd use that as a gimmick for their final May sweeps?

I read Here.

"We're quite excited [about her return]," Souders told IGN. "You'll see a little bit more Supergirl than Kara in this episode. That's why [the episode is] called 'Supergirl'."

She continued: "When she comes in she is going to kind of shake up the world for all of our superheroes."

"It sends them in a very different direction," added Peterson.

Peterson refused to confirm whether Kara would teach Clark how to fly. However, Souders hinted that she could convince the future Superman to finally wear his famous costume.

"She might," teased the showrunner. "She's a fashion girl. She's knows how to accessorise."

The tenth season of Smallville - the show's last - will premiere on September 24 on The CW. Vandervoort's episode is scheduled to air in October.

What!? I don't know about these guys sometimes.
