MOAR PICS

Mr. Laser Beam, stop eating T'Baio's cookies. It's unseemly.

I've got a few random pictures...

I was on a date the other night and went to this wine bar in Culver City. I'd seen it years ago the first time I found myself in that neighborhood, but still found it ironic.

Saw these at Target and had to chuckle ... it's even spelled the same!

This was from Wheel of Fortune a few nights ago.

This is from early in June. My friend Will had flown in to town on business and met up with me and another mutual friend who works on the Universal lot. She took us for a backwoods tour of everything, and here we're standing outside her bungalow/trailer office. You can't see them, (just the tops, really) but the Lyons Estates entrance pillars from Back to the Future (?) are behind us.

All three of us, just before we left.

^ I posted a message that was, apparently, objectionable. As I often seem to be doing...

Anyway, whatever I did wrong, I do apologize.

It occurs to me that my earlier comment could have been less ambiguous. If that's the case, certainly then I apologize... but come on dude, lighten up! We're here to have fun, right?

It's a hard habit to break, I admit.

I would probably have let it go but I'm sitting in an 80-degree house right now thanks to a broken air conditioner and so I'm not quite up to factory specs at the moment, panic-wise. Now that it's fixed, hopefully this too shall pass. :p

Anyway, pictures! My home away from home:

Wow. I always wanted to take night pictures. I haven't figured how to do so with my D-40 Nikon camera. I would like to take one of DC from National Cathedral but they close at 5. Well, I could try around December 20th...
Use a tripod and a long exposure time.

BDE + 13, specifically.

Will that work with taking pictures of the moon, since it's bright... but in the dark? Taking a clear picture of the moon at night is a random goal...

Couple pictures from over this past summer....

My best friend and I before she returned to Spain for the summer.

One of my old high school friends, his cousin, and I at a bar after a concert. As I recall, not quite drunk yet, but I'm getting there. That Long Island Ice tea was a killer.

Took this picture last year (as evidenced by the stickers and old license plate). It was in the parking lot of my office, so it probably belongs to another engineer.

My daughterBecca Ann (8) on the USS Wisconsin at the Nauticus Museum in Virginia Beach. It was really nice having the recipricol agreement between the Carnegie Mellon Museum in Pittsburgh and other museums. Boy - was it hot on the ship. That thing is a heat sink.

Yeah, I did. It's pretty awe-inspiring. Your photo made me google the Wisconsin, and I found the wikipedia page on it. Lots of history, there.

I went mini-golfing last weekend for a friends birthday, and then we had a picnic afterward:

Hole in one! ... ok, maybe it was more like "hole in four!"
