I took this screencap today...and felt the need to share it. Then I realized I haven't been in here for a while.
I think it's a sign...
Anyway, here are a few from recent events in my life, Senior Prom, and graduation...
My date and I. How I managed to take such an amazingly beautiful young woman (and how I managed to continue to date her over the summer...
) is beyond me.
She and I set two of our friends up for Prom. He's a senior, like I was, and she is 2 grades below us (Jr next September), like my date.
My best friend, Tom, decided to slip into our photo op. How we all ended up wearing green is beyond me...the prom was held at the Buffalo Harbor club, in the HSBC arena (where the Buffalo Sabres play), which provided some lovely backdrops for photos...such as the Skyway.
Now, graduation. I wasn't too psyched about it. In my mind, I graduated on the last day of school...this was for my parents. Don't they just look thrilled?
Star Trek has an amazing following at our school, apparently. One of my favorite teachers, one of my younger friends, who played in the ceremonial band that day, and me...apparently you can take the Trekkie out of high school...but not the Trekkie out of the high schooler.
I think it's a sign...

At my prom, your took your garter from your date, and she would take your tie. I don't know why.

Yup. The gentlemen is supposed to...remove...the garter from the gal's leg. She just handed me hers though...I really didn't care. Less potential awkwardness. Just being able to spend the evening with her, and treat her like a proper lady was fine with me. She's a really good dancer too.
