Please help me if u can I'm doing a project and need to purchase three of these kits any help will do ?

Are you in a rush for them? Rumor is that Round2 will be repopping it later in the year or early next.

That aside, forking over the extra cash may be the only way to go unless you get lucky locally.

Thanks ziz how do u know they are releasing the shuttlecraft again as a model kit is there info on this I loved to know if that is true .

I can wait a bit longer I was just finding it frustrating so that's why I asked for some help on there's only one sight where trek fans help fellow trek fans.

Thanks anyway my American cousin NS

One of the guys from R2 comes onto the StarshipModeler.com message boards every now and then. I think he mentioned casually in there that they're considering getting the Galileo out again but don't have it on the schedule yet. I think he said it was among the many toolings they sent to China for testing to see what kind of shape they're in, which will determine how/when/if they bring the kit out again.

Always cool when they re-release these old kits.

Any chance they'd ever do the Romulan BOP again? That one got releases once, I think, in the late 60's - early 70's. I have one I started to modify to look more like the filming model.

Love to have that model of the BOP I downloaded some blueprints the other day love to modify that one but my 1st project is to finish the shuttlecrafts then I'll find something else in trek to build .

In the uk there,s a massive model con called IMPS that's in November so I've got a long wait ahhh

Actually, they just got the test shot back on the RBOP. They're including alternate nacelle front parts and adding a part for the plasma weapon. That should hopefully be out later this year/early next.

They're walking a fine line - they want to correct things but they also have to reach the nostalgia market that wants to live in the past. They're trying to meet it in the middle by putting in alternate parts without removing or permanently changing original parts.

They mention clear nacelle caps & plasma launcher, but I don't see either in the photos.

I have to find all the parts for mine and get it finished. About 9 years ago I started it, did the outside rim modification to get the "step" look and the angled edge, but never got any further.

That pic is just the first shot out of the molds. The new parts are still in development.

Hell, they repopped K-7, so it's a good bet everything's gonna get redone at some point.

As for, say, going to eBay for an old one, unlike the Enterprise or Klingon Battlecruiser, which can be found fairly cheaply if you're patient enough (just got two long box Enterprise's and a D-7 of the same vintage for a combined total, including shipping, of around $35), I have yet to see a Romulan BoP go for less than $50; in fact the opening bid for one of those puppies is usually around $75 or more.

I've tried on eBay still can't find the TOS shuttlecraft it's hard finding these kits but that's the fun of it I'll keep searching any help would be grateful NS

There's 5 on ebay right now. Cheapest is about $68.

No worries, after the re-release those prices should drop as it will be the same basic kit.

I can't remember what I paid around 10 years ago. I'm thinking around $50. The decals were shot, but I planned to do a green paint job anyway, minus the fire-chicken.

You didn't day what the project encompasses but would a paper model of the Galileo do ?

Many well executed papercraft (no pun intended) versions are available about the web as free downloads.

Just be sure to print it out on cardstock. Regular paper works okay for the most part, but you have to exercise so much caution with regard to how much glue you use, it's simpler just to use sturdier stuff to begin with.
