What are you watching this summer?

On dvd I'm watching Wiseguy, Crime Story and Babylon 5. Nothing on tv interests me this summer except Covert Affairs, but that hasn't started yet.

I've got one couple of friends that are the only ones I know that get BBC America. Thus, every Saturday, at least half a dozen people converge on their house for the new Doctor Who that week. Matt Smith is awesome! David who?;)

My mother & I are rediscovering Frasier in reruns on AZTV.

Wipeout is always a summer favorite of mine. (Now if only NBC would bring back American Gladiators.:()

On DVD, the 2 main shows I'm working on right now are Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 5 & Homicide: Life on the Street Season 4. (I'm absolutely in love with Melissa Leo.

:adore:) I just finished watching Roswell all the way through for the 1st time since its original run from 1999-2002.

And of course there are the usual year-round staples like Law & Order: Special Victims Unit & Saturday Night Live.

We've also been going through Red Dwarf, since Hubby's never seen it before.

Good work. Let me know how that goes. I've been trying for years to introduce my friends to Red Dwarf with no success. They still won't take just my word for it, even though I was the one that got them hooked on Doctor Who, Dollhouse, Made in Canada, Stargate Atlantis, Torchwood, The Guild, Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along-Blog, & Battlestar Galactica. (And while I wasn't the one who introduced them to Firefly, I was on the Browncoat bandwagon long before they ever heard of the show.)

It was entirely his own doing. He put it on his Netflix list and insists I watch them with him. Of course, I've already seen them all, but it's been AGES, so I don't mind.

What's funny to me is how many things I have to explain to hubby---the Britishisms. For instance, in the first few episodes, Holly cried, "Gordon Bennett--everyone is DEAD!" He turned to me and asked, "Why does Holly keep calling him Gordon when his name is Dave?"

*face palm*

Yes, I did explain it to him.

We usually check out anything sci fi and we're both Doctor Who fanatics. I got him into the Survivors remake and Torchwood, and he is devoted to everything Whedonesque. He refuses, however, to watch Being Human, as the first few episodes were too emo for him.
