Wonder Woman's new look: At long last, pants!

Maybe...I think the comics will have to keep Wonder Woman a certain way before a movie comes out...but they need to be honest about any change. I really don't think TBTB concerning Wonder Woman have a handle on her yet.

I just realized, I have already forgotten what the new costume looks like. When I close my eyes, I can't remember. It's generic. It's forgettable.

True, the original has been around longer, but other costume (or character updates) I remember longer than this. For example, the new Blue Beetle costume, I remember. It's eye catching and unforgettable (...*snob* but you're not forgotten Ted), but this new Wonder Woman costume...meh.

JMS should stick to B5 and stay out of comics!

Nice. I seemed to be one of the few who liked the star-spangled pauldrons, but this version does look more accurate and appropriate for the character. The important thing is she doesn't look like she's wearing a bikini anymore.

Here's a few I whipped up in Hero-o-Matic (aka Fabrica de Herois 1). The first two showing less skin, but not looking like hotpants and a spaghetti strap top either, and one "armor" look.

Fine let her get killed when all hell breaks loose and the end of the world is at hand because she shouldn't wear the heavy duty armor IN THE SITUATIONS SHE HAS IT FOR because the fans get annoyed.

Also I believe other Amazons were wearing Roman style armor as well.

At what point did she wear a bikini?

How can it be "appropriate" or "accurate" for a character who is a statue created by an Amazon Queen and brought to life by the power of the Gods and given great powers by those Gods? Were they the Gods of outdated fashion? Are the Amazons failed fashonistas?

The same thing has happened to most female heroes. Black Canary's costume has a similar cut. To my mind a bikini bottom is defined by the cut at the waist, not the legs/hips. WW's costume is more like a one piece than a bikini.

I do actually like the new look, it's about time they gave her something a little more practical looking. Still, it didn't stop me from having a stab at it myself!

Obviously they'll get back to the classic outfit sooner or later, this is just to serve the new arc they're playing with and it serves it's function well enough I think.
