Damn! It's hot!

We've been over 100 F for a few days now. Yesterday we tied a record for the day-- 108 F! Today should be cooler...only 105 F.

At 10 pm last night, it was 91 F. At 7 am (right now), it's already 82 F. We should drop below highs over 100 sometime later this week.

Yeah, it was 104 here yesterday. Today it'll be a breezy 99.

God Bless the Central Valley!

:techman:

What were you doing during the brownout the other night? It picked the very moment I was in the bathroom to happen. Not a big deal normally, but for a man with cerebral palsy (me), getting around in the dark was an adventure. The ONE time I took the flashlight out of the bathroom.......

Thankfully I know my way around my house.

I was in Washington DC, and it was miserable there. 98 degrees with 100% humidity.

I don't know how people live there. It was awful.

Oh, you weren't in town, so you probably don't know what I'm talking about. Yeah, the power went out here in Sacramento two nights ago for about ten minutes. Not a big deal, like I said, it was just that it caught me in a rather unfortunate position.

It's been in the 90s here for a few days. The humidity yesterday and today was around 80%, but it seems to be dropping now, thank goodness.

Humidity is only about 30% here. So "at least it's a dry heat," as the saying goes.

I'm hoping that, come August and I'm done with the Bar, Hubby and I can take a cooling day trip to Yosemite. There was a record snowfall in the Sierra Mountains, so the waterfalls should be fantastic. And it's almost always cooler up there. About an hour to the beautiful entrance with the money-shot view, then an hour down into the valley. The bad part is that it's an hour back out of the valley and another hour home. But the views are just so awesome and awe-inspiring.

Hmm... I would say that it has been hovering around 92-9 F with 100% humidity for the last few weeks now. Not always this warm in late June. However, come August... even hotter!

Gotta love the South Florida weather!!!:techman:

{the house a/c is usually set for a temp of 75-76 F--sometimes even a bit cooler if there is a lot of coming in and out and the doors opening and closing}

Why I'm glad every day now that I'm living in Alameda, CA. Couldn't stand that cruddy DC weather, even with being from MD originally.

It's been MAYBE 82 deg here the past couple of days. Just perfect. Nice cool breeze off the Bay, so no need for A/C at all.

Heck, last night I even pulled one a jumper/sweatshirt for a couple of hours. :techman:

Cheers,

Lucky duck. It was 91 here at 645 this morning. Hit 112 by the time it was done.

There is a billboard near my house that says this:

Your Wife Is Hot.

(better get that air conditioning fixed.)

:guffaw:

We've got a Sears commercial that runs here where a husband and wife are talking. She's in the kitchen, sweating like a stuck pig, and his voice is kind of muffled. At the end, she says something like "and don't you think it's time we fixed the a/c?" and opens the fridge. He's sitting in the fridge with the television.

Even if it were that cool in Alabama (or Pennsylvania, where I am right now), the humidity necessitates the AC to be on anyway. Otherwise, it's just plain sticky.

It has been relatively pleasent here in San Diego. Mid 80s inland, 70s where we live. Actually all of June has been pretty nice, aside from the 'June Gloom'.

Oh well. Our horrible weather tends to start later and end up as 90+ with a chance of smoke and ash.

Randy,

You shouldn't make fun of people who are handicapped with special needs. Someone here might get his/her vagina full of sand and pick that very moment to be offended.

TIA!!!

After some discussion regarding this post, I'm going to refrain from giving you an infraction this time, but be warned that we're getting really tired of this kind of trolling behavior from you. Besides being complete nonsense, this post was needlessly hostile toward others and totally out-of-the-blue. This is going to be the last friendly you'll receive; keep this up and it will result in infractions from now on.

I approve of the good weather, but I'm not very good at handling the heat and humidity. Plus, aircon in houses is a rarity over here. Bugger.

Actually, it was kind of a tongue-in-cheek joke between Randy and myself.

Apologies to the staff.
