Wonder Woman or Power Girl? (comics)

Power Girl isn't Supergirl in a different costume?

Seriously, those pictures of Power Girl come this close to making me laugh out loud. What is this creature's story?

Technically, Power Girl is an alternate universe of Supergirl, now transplanted to the main DCU. (Well, you asked.)

Legend has it that her original artist, Wally Wood, kept making her breasts bigger every issue just to see how long he could get away with it before DC caught on . . . .

I think we will be missing Conners art.
The new artist seems OK..but judging from the PG issue thirteen preview, his PG seems to have the same expression constantly:shifty::

Ugh. Yeah, they just lost me. Just another half-manga, Photoshop-dependent, anatomically-challenged sketcher with no visual storytelling ability. The writing on those pages is nothing to write home about, either.

I'll say this much, there needs to be a Power Girl movie made.

With Christina Hendricks.

No way, Christina Hendricks dyes her hair blonde over my dead body.

:p
hair colour aside, she does look good for the role.

not sure how you explain who "Power Girl" is to a non comic book auidence however.

You could always create a new, simpler origin for Karen Starr/Power Girl. That's kind of what DC did post-Crisis, creating a new origin that wasn't tied to Krypton and Supergirl, though if it started out simpler, it sure didn't end up that way. And Justice League Unlimited's equivalent of Power Girl, Galatea, was simply a clone of Supergirl (an evil clone!).

I never had a problem with Judd Winick's work. I could never figure out what the hubbub was all about.

Indeed. The vitriol directed at Winick often seems way out of proportion. Hell, I've seen him blamed for controversial DC issues that he had nothing do with.

Her uniform, Powergirl, doesn't look like it would be good for a fight, a boob or nipple slip could occur with that huge oval shaped hole there.

in that case, she should gate crash the Superbowl, whilst fighting her nemsis.

It's funny you mention that, last night I read "The Pro" for the first time (written by Garth Ennis drawn by Amanda Connor) and her nipples are constantly showing through her chest hole!

Oh come on? Christina's boobs make her perfect as power girl? I was watching Catherine Hiegle in the killers a few days ago and when her character used the word "fucking" in a sentence I realized how castrated she'd been on Roswell and Greys Anatomy that their were dimensions left for to explore yet as an "angry princess".

I have all of the powergirl comics but I haven't gotten around to reading them yet.

Judd needs to back to fart jokes, he's too in revile of his past that he's become super boring.

His Batman was intolerable.

"The Nerdy Bird talks Power Girl with DC Comics’ artist Amanda Conner! What’s in store for our favorite busty hero and why exactly is she so busty.." (Interview from last year bit old ofcourse, but still interesting:bolian:)

And the short Supergirl comic strip included is quite funny:lol:

And since we are on the topic of comics..and I dont want to start another thread..
Has anyone here read Teen Titans and/or Gotham City Sirens?
Im interested of both, latter because Im a fan of Catwoman:)
Teen Titans seems interesting in some levels, but I honestly dont know much about the comic itself, just a little about the characters, like Wonder Girl:shifty:
Ofcourse, I am planning to buy a TPB of both, but I am still interested of your opinions:bolian:..
