Thanks! Besides the smaller moon at the lower left, there are also a tiny one visible at the upper left and another small moon at the upper right (just about where the '7' is) which is only visible for a few seconds before the clock loads
Ah, okay. At first I thought something had happened to your monitor.
Nice!
I keep going back and looking at this picture - I know it's a real place, yet it looks like anything but what you'd expect to find in the Indian Ocean, 500 miles from anywhere.
newly formatted laptop. got only the essentials installed. (everything is legal btw)

It's Malé, capital city of the Maldives.
Edit:
Not exactly a desktop pic, but more Cassini/Saturn goodness and a Google homepage background image in attachment:

Nice wallpaper! I don't recognize the USS Aventine. Is that fan work or is it somewhere in canon that I missed?
the Aventine is not even slightly canon. the books are not canon.
they're not even remotely canon. they're not soft canon, quasi-canon, pseudo-canon or half-canon. they're not even diet canon.
anyone in the Trek Lit forum will tell you so, most particularly the authors.
