Balls. The acting and effects may have been shit, but the story and costumes in that film were spot on.
Except, of course, for the Skull being Italian. But that's not the issue here.
The Cap costume especially was magnificent, and I only have the word of posters here that the ears were fake - I certainly couldn't tell.

I like it.

I'd say this is more likely to be Cap's Modern Day/Avengers outfit, looks a bit sleek for WW2.

It seems to have a bit of a Batman Beings/Dark Knight batsuit vibe, which can only be good. If Batman gets tactical gear, it's only right America's super-soldier should get some body armour too.

the 616 moniker is derived from a Captain Britain comic and was intended to indicate there's nothing inherently special about the marvel universe we read about. it's one of a multitude of universes. it's also been used by the Watchers in 1602...

What's the problem with a guy who's regularly shot at having some sort of protective clothing?

Would the US military really sending it's secret-weapon super-soldier into combat wearing bright blue Lycra? Cap's enough of a target with his colour-scheme, at least let him wear some stab-proof long johns!

It's kind of weird, though, that for all the complaining about the lack of wings, the guy didn't make at least one attempt to put actual wings on there. Not even painted ones. Just stripes.
