What's your absolute favourite film ever?

Counting all three parts as one long movie, The Lord of the Rings is in a class by itself, IMHO.

Oh, and Encino Man is good too.

:techman:

Probably Fight Club. But like most people, it's almost impossible to pick a favourite. That's just what's coming to me right now.

The Breakfast Club.... followed closely by Star Trek II. Just had to throw that one in there. :D

Hmm... Out of my 3 all-time favorites, The Empire Strikes Back, Raiders of the Lost Ark, and The Fellowship of the Ring I think I'd have to go with Fellowship, if only because it has the most rewatchability of the three.

In my current mood, overall? Avatar.
Up until recently? Star Trek (2009).
Consistently over the years? Hook.

Mmh, that's hard. My two absolute favourite fims are La Dolce Vita and Metropolis. I've watched both films a number of times and keep discovering new things. If I had to settle for just one, I'd have to go with La Dolce Vita.

Right now, I'll go with High Noon, as it's still in my brain from yesterday. I appreciate the depth present in such a seemingly simple story, it's like western film noir. The real time aspect and the fast pacing rocket the film towards it's conclusion, and the final shoot out and ending is great.

most of the time I would pick Blade Runner, but I'm not in a sci-fi mood today.
