Strange Experience

Have you ever had an experience that you felt was so odd that it was unlikely to have been caused by chance? Or even just an instinct that some event in your life had been arranged - even if you couldn't prove it, or even if you doubted it yourself.
For example, a strange coincidence, a prophetic dream, poltergeist events, or some other thing.

Sneezing and farting at the same time when you're tripping your tits off while you're being looked at quizzically by a suspicious rozzer is a pretty strange experience.

Err...apparently. Yes.

I dunno, but the chances of how my wife and I met are so astronomical, that I sometimes question how it ever happened in the first place. I'm very glad it did, though!

Nope. I've had weird dreams that have seemed to play out in vague parallel to RL, and sensations that people are going to be arriving before they arrive, etc etc, but that's because I'm a very imaginative person and have a great sense of hearing ;)

Yes. I had a prophetic dream. One of my friends was pregnant. I knew that, but the gender of the baby wasn´t known than and the embryo seemed halthy.
I dreamed the one night, of that friend and her baby. I dreamed the baby is a girl and that she would die. I woke up with the words. "Oh God, I hope it is not a girl. A girl will not survive."
I spoke about it with someone else, because the dream was terrible...however I didn´t tell my friend.
Some weeks later my friend called me crying. She told me, that her baby is a girl and that she has a severve handicap, so severve that she will not be able to live.
She gave birth to the death child at the end of the fifth month.

I also had two out of body experiences, one that one might describe as After death experience. Even I cannot be sure, if there is an After Life and it might be that my brain just played wild, I HOPE that what I saw is reality, cause than death truly would not be so bad (one day...not now..I love life).
What I saw was a meadow and animals everywhere. I was lying on my back near a black hole like thing... some animals, with them my dead cat, stood over me. They looked at me and I could understand them. My cat sort of told me, its no time for me yet and that I have to go back. I felt myself suucked into that black hole and shouted No, my cat looked after me with so much love. Than I was in a room, under the ceiling, looking down at someone on the floor and people bend over that someone. I wanted to get a closer look, but when I came nearer I got pulled down, to the body. I saw that it was me and when I saw that I got pulled towards me the rest of the way and woke up feeling dizzy.
The other one was at night, guess it was just a dream, even I was sure that I was awake, but maybe I dreamed I was awake. Some creatures came to my room, they lifted me up and wanted to turn me around (I had my back to them, just sort of felt them). I could not move at all, not one body part and just desperatly thought about, that I want some light, because I found it creepy. Suddenly I felt like falling back on the bed, I turned on the light and nothing was there. However after that I slept for weeks with light on.

Yeah, the first one was a dream, but a dream that came true...and that kind of dream I count under strange experience.
The second one was not really a dream, as I was not sleeping, but without consiousness.
The third thing was probably a nightmare, that felt very real, yes...even that one felt even more real, than other real feeling nightmares I had.

No but I wish I did. Then I could be like Locke on LOST and tell people, "This is what I'm supposed to do!"

I once dreamt vividly that the lights in my house blew out. I then woke up in bed, my wife got out of bed about the same time as I woke up and she went downstairs to the toilet. As she flicked the light switch the lights blew and I had to go into the cellar to sort the fuses out.

No, they were just dreams. Of all the dreams you have, thousands per yer, it's not surprising at all that one would seemingly predict the future by pure chance alone. The 2nd one was a dream, you just didn't realize it.

I do, however, wander around shouting "Don't tell me what I can't do!" at passersby. It's therapeutic. :D

To answer the question, though: nope, never.

I recall the feeling of a moment, and the description of it to others afterward, that was so mindbogglingly co-incidental it beggared belief, but I don't believe it was anything more than that, co-incidental. I just wish I could remember what it was.

Thats what you think and you have all right to think that way, however please do not write as if your thinking is the only truth there is. No one knows what the truth is. We can guess, we can define our own subjectiv picture of the world and possibilities there might be or not might be, but thats it.

I had a strange dream I was reading a thread on this message board about strange dreams... and it came true!

Now that is a strange experience. Or maybe not.

I have the tendency to wake up five minutes before my alarm clock goes off. Strange thing is, that never happens when I forget to set it... :vulcan:
