I bought a metric shitton of yarn today. :) There was a sale. I should be good for, oh, another six decades or so.

Also, two t-shirts, a can of almonds, some biscotti, giant knitting needles and a book of random science facts; lunch at Denny's; and an iced coffee at Dunkin'.

It's not a pay week at either of my jobs, so this splurge might have been a bad idea.

I went summer clothes shopping today (sale at Old Navy...I can't resist!)

I bought:

  • Two puffed arm T's (yellow, and grey/dk grey striped
  • Two cropped light elbow sweaters (white cotton and purple eyelet)
  • Two lace camis (dark purple and light pink)
  • One flared mini (well, only just above the knee) multi patterend in pink/purple
  • One bright green short sleeve blouse with beaded detail around the collar
  • One ruffled sundress in dark pink/grey multi patterned
  • A variety of flip flops
All for about 175 dollars :D

I can be there in half an hour provided you don't mind a pair of Labs. I made scallop and shrimp skewers with lime and sesame seeds on our grill last night, along with some veggie skewers as well.

As long as the grill was hot, I tossed a couple of pears on the grill and topped them with maple syrup for dessert.

With our combined forces, we can destroy the Emperor and end this culinary conflict. He has forseen it.

Did I mention I have a pair of Labs?

Anywho, I just bought a pair of sleeping pads to go with my new tent. I'm camping for a little over a week in Maritime Canada next month, and my back isn't the same at 30 as it was in Cub Scouts.

Sweeeeeeeeeeet!

Yeah ..., it is.

Jealous.

I just bought a crappy charcoal grill for $40. I was totally willing to spend the money on a nice gas grill, but I got impatient, and I didn't have anybody to help me bring it home.

I've always had inexpensive grills, and they've been just fine. But, I finally got to the point where I was tired of rebuilding their innards every couple of years and buying a new grill every 4 or so. So, I decided to just really go for it for once.

We TOTALLY need to have a grill-and-lab-fest, although I don't know if I can live up to your culinary talents. You make some of the most amazing sounding meals! I just got some scallops at the store today for dinner tomorrow night. I may be stealing your menu. :)

And have fun on your camping trip. That sounds like a blast, too!

Makes sense to me. I figure I'll do this once I eventually buy my own place. I try to limit the number of heavy, awkward things that I have to move.

after having the worst week I have had in many years last week, I treated myself to a bit of local motorsports memorabilia and some soft covers for my off road lights on my truck, havnt got all my lights on yet, but I've got enough covers for 6 lights plus 4 extra covers
