Of Earth, Air, Fire and Water, you may focus on just one element or a combination of. I want to see avatars that richly embody the essence of the element(s) you choose. Or if you like, you can come at the theme from a completely different angle.

Inspired by a recent TV programme - an alternative take on the 4 classical elements:

Here we are. I actually made this one for elsewhere, so it was handy.

It's "Babylon Five", basically. The Narn as fire, the Minbari as water, the Centauri as air, and the humans, appropriately enough, as earth. The four elements always seemed to fit those four civilizations really well. And the pictures of their homeworlds work to illustrate the theme- plus the pun on earth, again.

When I started this "No SF/F or Gen Media" is in place mainly because there are forums for that and plenty of contest for people to use those types of images. Misc avatar contest should be free from those type of images. IMHO.

But it really is up to you, you are running it.

Well since I didn't know of the rule and didn't state it in the initial post, I don't want to be bringing new rules in after people have submitted entries. It wouldn't be proper to do that.

So I decree that TV and media avs be okay for this one contest.
