Survivor 20:Hero's vs Villians, live comentary

I missed something somewhere along the line. Russell gave her an idol tonight, but when did she get the other one?

Well it was quite a trick. Too bad the heroes didn't pull their own switcheroo and actually had voted for her. That would have been epic. And Rupert, who many people criticize as dumb, wasn't so dumb afterall. It's just the villians just had too much ammo for them.

Parvati is freaking awesome. She is the Queen of Survivor.

Edit: I admit that I doubted her (when she told Amanda about the idol and during some of her comments at tribal), but she played that perfectly.

The look on Russell's face when Parvati started handing out idols was priceless. He seemed to have just realized he wasn't in control of the game afterall.

It was a bold move by Parvati, but I kind of question the wisdom of giving one of the idols to Sandra. Since Sandra wasn't in their original alliance, they have to know she's likely to flip. It may have been better to risk her being voted out and save the other idol for the next tribal council. Had the Heroes targeted Sandra they'd be down a player, but the rest of the alliance would be solid and they'd still have that other idol to work with.

Sandra went from being the low person in the pecking order to the top. She's now the swing vote and has quite a bit of power. She can be pretty sneaky and I think both sides need to watch out for her.

Not sure what was up with Russell telling that elaborate story about why Parvati wasn't voted out the previous tribal council. He could have just told the Heroes he didn't vote for her because he thought Parvati had the other idol and left it at that.

I was really wondering what Parvati was doing when she told Amanda she had an idol and then I realized it was perfect because they would never vote for her knowing she had an idol.

lol @ JT's comments. Never trust women. ever ever ever lol lol lol

Yeah, nevermind that the women didn't have that much to do with him getting JT kicked out, it was mostly Russell who betrayed him. He must have gone through a bad breakup or something before he came to Samoa.

Wow. That was EPIC. Pavarti, not just a pretty face.

Is Survivor supposed to be stressful? I was stressed out watching that whole episode.

Kudos to Rupert for recognizing what was happening, he actually said the same thing I say - when someone right away swears on their children's lives, never trust them. Amazing how the Heroes still got so blindsided though.

Amanda is getting hotter as the season goes on, I'm seriously considering stalking her.

So in the previews it looks like Sandra is spearheading a charge against Russell. Not sure how they'd get the votes for that though unless somehow Jerri comes over, but her daddy issues will keep her forever worhsipping Russell. Sad, so sad. :(

EDIT: Nevermind, DURRRR, Sandra is swing vote.

I felt like we were watching Rupert in a boy who cries wolf moment. He finally had an intelligent thought, and nobody seemed to believe him.

Though, to their credit, they did give in to Rupert and make a decent play (even if it didn't work out). Candice deserves a lot of the blame for giving up during the immunity challenge (as winning that challenge would have prevented Parvati from protecting all the non-Parvati/Russell players). Amada gets most of the blame, though, for completely giving away the score to Parvati with really bad lying.

I also agree with Probst's blog. Russell dodged a bullet last night. They could have targeted him after Parvati gave up to Amanda that she still had an idol (basically saying that Russell was lying about Parvati using her idol previously).

Sandra is the swing-vote. She could flip over to the Hereos tribe and they would vote Russell out 5-4 thus giving the Hereos majority. Hopefully there will be no more idol in this game. It is getting in the way for real strategy. However i think Sandra best move would maybe to exploide Russell and Parvati situation. Parvati pretty much wasted a idol on Sandra and exposed herself to Russell. Sandra could formed secret pack with Russell and Jerri after they have dwindled the Heroes tribe into 2 players and then they could either blindside Parvati or Danielle. Parvati biggest ally. Anyway Jeff Probst remark on next episode that Sandra takes control of the game should be intresting to watch.

It will be interesting to see which side Sandra chooses (or if she swings back and forth between the next couple tribal councils). The heroes haven't even really tried to recruit her yet (basically ignoring her until after this last tribal council--in case she was lying), so anything can still happen.

If Sandra swings, the heroes should target Pavarti and get the numbers then go for Russell later.

They know Russell is evil now but they also know Parvarti is beyond evil based on previous seasons. The idol are likely gone for at least one round, so make the move now if Sandra will go along.

Another reason is once you get to individual immunity the challenges become less strength/speed oriented and more skill/mental oriented. That skill set favors Pavarti more than Russell. Take her out at the first opportunity.

If Sandra swings, the heroes should target Pavarti and get the numbers then go for Russell later.

That won't be an option. Sandra only flips if she can control the person eliminated, and she will push to get rid of Russell.

Sandra always covers her bases, and she sets herself up in case she wants to flip back and/or create a new combo-alliance. It's easier for her (emotionally and safety-wise) if Russell is gone.

Stupid Candace!

...though based on the two possibilities, I'm happy Amanda went home and not Parvati.

Yes, yet another of those moments that make me go hmmm. Things just don't make sense at times.

What doesn't make sense? She knew Candace was flipping, so she stuck with her original alliance, rather than flipping on them too, which would make her even more of an outcast. Better to have the villains think she's still with them than against them.
