Indeed. How many people would be able to accomplish anything if they didn't follow that philosophy at some point..

I would have never finished my first studio project.

It's one reason that I've quite enjoyed crash projects like the 48 Hour Film Project, where you are forced to complete something in a ridiculously short time. Deadlines are often more a help than a hindrance.

I like working on deadline. Probably why I prefer journalism to writing fiction these days. In any case, a wise man told me that you just have to "finish something."

If you like what Jimm N Josh and the gang have done, and you wish to support them in some way, there is a fanpage on Facebook.

Several of the folks that have been involved with this project are on Facebook. If you post some kind words or support, it MIGHT be ecouraging to THEM. Also, if you personally have some stuff like set pics, this might be a great place to share them. At the very least, it won't slow the production down any...

It will be finished when there's redemption in the world. Holly Guess is in an old age home now.

Why pick her out of the entire cast? Why not Michael Buford?

Well, at least, I'm not waiting alone. I don't do Facebook, but I register my support here for Starship Exeter. I really, really, really look forward to seeing the conclusion some day (soon).

I've been waiting years for Exeter. I saw the teaser, thought "awesome" (and  'd at the giant red knickers - no trousers for away missions involving climbing :) ?) and decided to wait until I could watch the lot in one go.

Should I just give up waiting for the end and watch the rest that's available now? It is still enjoyable without a resolution?

I didn't watch the part available now knowing it was incomplete (the website is perfectly unclear on that) and although what is there is very good, I do not recommend watching it unless they officially abandon completing it. Instead, I recommend watching any of the hundreds of completed Star Trek Fan Films on the web.

    There's not necessarily an "instead."

I find it hard to believe that someone would recommend not watching what is arguably one of the best episodes of Trek as far as "TOS look-and-feel" until it is completed.

It's available now. It's been available for years. It's extremely good Trek! Well, true confession, I waited for a couple of years before watching it because I wanted to be able to see the full episode. BIG MISTAKE! It is such a great episode. Dennis Bailey outdid himself. The script is totally awesome! I am so gripped by this story, and so eager to see the final act.

    How will it end?

I don't know, but the depth of character, the intensity of the crisis, the feel of a Kirk-kinda dilemma ... it's all there in The Tressaurian Intersection.

    Three thoughts in closing...

    1. I'm sure it will be completed (soon) because so many involved in the production have said that it is being worked on and is nearing completion.

    2. I'd like to see it in a higher resolution. I wonder if it will be made available in higher res. I wonder where it will be made available. The Starship Exeter website still doesn't seem to be functional when it comes to watching the episodes. (They are available on youtube.)

    3. I'm sad that it's been so many years and it seems unlikely that these guys will make any more episodes. They really had something going on. The ship, the crew, the look and feel of TOS -- it's awesome! The release of the final act will be a crowning achievement, a tribute to what they accomplished.

When the next Phase 2 is released, I'll grab it and what's released of Exeter and stick them both on a DVD. It's not right watching Star Trek on a PC monitor :)
