Survivor 20:Hero's vs Villians, live comentary

Bullshit. Russell lost because he was arrrogant, bully, ofensive and a dirty player. According to Natalie and this hasn't been denied by Russell plus the fact this has been confirmed by couple of other castaways that Russell sometimes gloated when they were voting someone out but this wasn't shown on TV. So Russell was a lot dirtier player then was shown on TV. It all boils down to editing.
I dont buy this religious excuse at all from bitter:rolleyes: Russell fans.
However there is no denying that Natalie, Laura and Brett were religious but not Erik, Dave, Kelly, Monica and Jaison. Russell didn't lost by one or two votes but by 5 votes This wasn't even close.

How do you know that because they were never protrayed as religious so again i dont buy this excuse. Russell lost because he played too hard, told unnecessary lies, revealed that he was a millionaire, played the idol, zero social skills e.c.c. That is the reasons why Russell lost and not the beliefs of the jury members.

I'm too lazy to look it up (and I don't really care anyway), but I'm positive Dave mentioned his belief in Jesus several times in his exit interviews, although he didn't give off that vibe in the show and I'm almost certain Kelly did too. They also had these weird prayer-circle things in the Galu camp where everyone participated.

Again i think this had nothing to do why Russell lost and frankly i dont care if someone from the Galu were religious because if i remember correctly Russell father was a pastor so by defalut Russell is probarly reilgoius too and Shambo definatly was shown to have religous backarounds but that didnt prevent her from voting for Russell. I just think it is bunch of excuses made by Russell fans that dont see any faults in Russell gameplay. Russell is definatly a good player but at the end he is his own worst enemy.

I can't believe how confident Russell was that this move was going to work. He was so fucking sure of himself. If it hadn't worked he would've looked like a huge fool, possibly destroying his image as one of the best Survivor players, especially with that little speech for Coach. How the hell did he know Tyson would switch his vote?
the producer played him to switch because they sure love Russell lol. How many times had Russell found HII 4 times:wtf:.
Without idols Russell is average player at best. He would have been voted out in episode 9 in Samoa and he would have been gone in the last episode..
Also Russell isent in the same league as Boston Rob when comes to strategies and making alliances. Let wait and see what happens in next episode. Rob is still in majority alliance so Russell should be in big trouble. If he finds another idol to save his butt. It is clear that the game is being rigged in Russell favor. Nobody should be able to find HII five times in a row. Nobody!

I really like Russell and I think he will go futher than a lot of the other people. He is really playing the game. GO RUSSELL!!!!:techman:

well i will be rooting for Sandra on the villain tribe:devil: and on the Heroes tribe i pretty much like everyone on that tribe but overall my 2 favorites are Sandra:techman: and Colby.

Huge mistake by the villans letting rob go - makes their tribe much more weak just when the heroes are pulling it together.

I was amazed at how easy it was for Russell to fool Jerri, what a bimbo. You'd think she'd know better, but apparently not. Great nipples though.

Coach is a joke, never liked the guy. It's always funny to see a chump take himself so seriously.

Russell is goingto get screwed over by the women, mark my words. That's his only weakness.

Goodness, yes. He is either an unbelievably bad liar, or seriously self-deluded if he thinks he's been honorable or never lied.

Jeez.

Quel un tool.

Yep...Pavarti is the one to beat now, IMO. All she has to do is show some skin, wink an eye, shake her butt..and she'll win. She did it last time she was on that show.

The only hope is if one of these guys is a closeted gay guy...

Rob

WTF...Danielle makes a huge deal about voting off Courtney instead of Coach...convinces Russell to vote off Courtney...and then sides with Parvati to vote off Coach...? Parvati once again proves that she could talk a fish into buying property in the Sahara.

As for the preview for next week:

Everybody will be calling Russell a god if JT gives him the heroes immunity idol, but the only way that could have happened was Coach going home this week (further solidifying the notion on the Heroes side that there is an all girl alliance on the villains tribe). You can't really give him all the credit for that when he tried to get rid of Courtney instead of Coach.

Edit:

Somebody on another board (television without pity) brought up the idea that Russell may have convinced his alliance that he had to throw a vote away (against Courtney) to keep his word with Coach. That seems unlikely, but it would certainly indicate a greater awareness of jury votes than he displayed last season.

One thing I never understood about Survivor.... When you're voted out, do you get to see who voted for whom? It just seems strange, the voting takes place as kind of a secret ballot... but everyone seems to always know how everyone voted. It seems like if it were a secret ballot that you'd see people not fessing up to their votes in certain situations... but I don't think I've ever seen that on this show.
Anyway, oh how I hope that the fake women's alliance convinces the heroes to give Russell their idol... that would just be too damned funny. They wouldn't have done that stupid moments in Survivor history montage if it wasn't going to happen... right? RIGHT?!?!?

I'm glad Coach is gone, he was starting to really piss me off, and Russell's fake girl alliance is ingenious - thanks Rupert. :)

I don't think they get to know. But it's usually not that difficult to figure out. They spend so much time with each other that they pretty much know how everybody stands to each other (think about it, how many people are there in your life that you've ever spent three weeks 24/7 together with?) and once they are in Ponderosa they surely talk about that stuff with the others.

Rule #1 in Survivor: Never believe anything in the previews. ;)

1) Stupid move to lose strength by voting coach out. He was not a threat and the Villains needed him to have a chance at winning future physical challenges.

2) Ignore the preview, the heros team would drown JT in the surf if he was to attempt what he said. Previews are never to be believed.

3) it was interesting that Russell signed his vote, I've never seen him do that before.

3) Will there be a merge? This survivor is made up of players who know each other for the most part. The jury will also interact with each other and view tribal councils for both teams. I can see a possibility that no merge ever happens.

That could go two ways, teams keep playing until one is completely gone and then turns on itself until two remain.

or

perhaps more interesting, play until one team member remains and then that person joins the other tribe but with immunity until the final three. The person can still vote but is not vulnerable until the decision is made on who goes to final.

I really hoping that there is no merge because the Russell alliance has voted out 3 strongest castaways on the villain tribe. If there is no merge in next episode i predict that the villains are going to lose both reward and immunity challenge. Without Boston Rob leadership villain tribe is finish.
However i am guessing there will eventually be a merge within next 2 episodes.

Russell is under estimating how important it is to have allies on the Heroes side. Some of the villains have past relations with some of the Heroes, and I think that will be Russell's downfall..

I am not a Russell fan, I wanted Rob to win, but you can't deny that Russell is the best manipulator of all time, better than even sir Richard.

Even though I can't stand Coach, it was pretty stupid to vote him out. The Villians are getting absolutely worked and to keep rail thin Courtney or dumpy Sandra around was a huge mistake. I don't see a merge happening for at least another 2 weeks.

I find the analytical processes of the Heroes to be pretty lacking if they automatically think it's a girl alliance on the other side without considering other alternatives. Could be their downfall, who knows.

I don't think the past relationships are as important as they might have been at the beginning, but Russell is aware of the importance of having allies on the Heroes tribe- that may be the reason he aligned with Pavarti in the first place. And the fake all-girls alliance was concocted with the idea of winning over the guys in the Heroes tribe. He's obviously looking ahead. Maybe too much- I still think he targeted the strong players too soon. Then again, it worked pretty well for Russell the last time.

Meh, Coach wasn't much help in the challenges anyway and his loyalty was very doubtful. I mean, watch the "ponderosa" clips on the CBS website, that guy really is 100% certifiable insane, he's unpredictable.
