When she said sh dressed up her boyfriends like the Doctor, I think she meant when she was a little kind, not when she wants to play Hide The Sausage. That would be super-weird.
Also, do we know for sure she marries Rory? Rory? Really? I thought t'other guy (Jeff?)was more likely, that he must have cleared his browser and got on with it.
(I wonder if 'clearing my browser' will become a euphemism?)

It's funny how they're obviously trying to reboot the series (which is a reboot/continuation as it is), with the new Doctor, new Tardis interior, new opening music and visuals (so the time/space continuum is cloudy thunderstorm?), new sonic screwdriver, and new catch phrase (Geronimo).
But then not break the pattern of the companion being an early 20's female from current day Earth who'll get a crush on the Doctor.... again...
What happened to getting a companion from another time or another planet?
Ok, the crush remains to be seen, but dressing up her boyfriend as him, then gazing at him as he's naked is pretty blatant.
What's with that logo on the Tardis door? Technically it can't be there since the outside form of the Tardis is because of the chameleon circuit being stuck on a police box in 1963 and any change it it's outward visual look would mean the chemeleon circuit was working again wouldn't it? Is it supposed to be chalked up to the Tardis rebuilding itself?
The premier *did* have some good points though.

It's a bit much to expect a twentysomething Doctor to not be attractive to women? Personally I prefer the way the new doctors stir up some kind of emotions in the people they meet, unlike the old ones who were terribly British.

Does anyone have any idea of the time frame of 11th Hour in relation to the wider Dr Who universe?
I know that the 10th Dr last visits Earth New Years Day 2005, he then embarks in the Tardis and dematerializes before regenerating, damaging the Tardis in the process. He is then seen as the 11th hanging out of the Tardis door as it flies over London, the Millenium Dome and Canary Wharf clearly visible outside placing that scene post 1999. The Tardis then crashes outside Amy's house Easter some year. We then have the time jumps of 12 and 2 years. Any ideas how this is resolved?
Also with all this talk of an imaginary friend titled 'The Doctor', what do you think Amy's friends and acquaintances would have made of Harriet Jones' Christmas day plea on TV asking for the Doctor? Even if they were all affected by the Sycorax, after everything had passed someone who wasn't affected might have mentioned it to Amy.

For the year, I would've though that by having Patrick Moore there would mean that the setting would have to be at least within 2009 to 2012. Given that the last 4 years have been a year ahead I'd go with 2011.

"Broken" isn't an exact synonym for "completely nonfunctional and unable to be repaired." It could very well be working just enough to make minor changes. Hell, maybe the TARDIS has been trying to repair it all these centuries and is finally making some leeway. "Doctor Donna" seemed to know an easy way to fix it, though she never got the chance to do so.

If your point-of-view character is a math genius from the future, a teenager from a parallel universe or a bloody talking penguin, you're kinda missing the "point of view" element, as well as the emotional anchor of the show. You can do it when you have more than one companion, but if there's only one, he or she must be one of us.
I think it's been left somewhere on the landfill of bad ideas.

We're talking about a science-fiction show in which the main character is an eccentric alien who knows everything and can talk his way out of any situation, and travels through time and the universe in a big blue box, a show where every episode takes place in a different setting, a different time, with a different situation and different people.
You need something normal in the middle of all that insanity to make it emotionally relevant. That normal element must not necessarily be a young girl, you could have a young guy, or an older woman, but you need one of us in there. And no, "one of us" can't be a zombie-hunting cyborg from the 67th Century or a young fisherman from Constantinople.
What works in other shows doesn't necessarily work in Doctor Who.

I agree with this, maybe next series they could do an episode where Amy is deaged, and the young actress is invited back.
to be honest I am worried about Amy Ponds mental state, and im wondering if the Doctor who feels responsible will drop her off and then go back in time, to correct the damage he did by not coming back.

I thought he tried that- the TARDIS rematerialized in front of little Amelia at the end of the episode...
Then again, we didn't see him come out, so, who knows, maybe it's actually a teaser for episode 13, maybe it's prisoner zero in a new disguise, maybe it's the Master's TARDIS...
