Excellent trailer :bolian:. The movie looks promising and I hope it's going to to be good. Unfortunately serial usually don't have the same quality as the originals, but I'm confident that this one will work and be entertaining.

I didn't know they were making any more RE films. Got bored of watching them after the one based on RE:3 (my favourite game) looked like someone took the game and shat all over it. To come up with a storyline that was based of that game but wasn't.

Where are all the zombies? :(

The new film combines elements of all the games. You do see zombies in the trailers and also the Las Plagas/Urobos of RE4, RE5.

Remember that Sony has told the creators of the films that they had to create a unique storyline and that they would not allow any direct remakes of any of the games to be produced (they're worried about sales).

That make sense. However adding characters from the game and bits of the storylines doesn't. I mean Nikolai getting his face bitten of by a dog? Why even bother adding Nikolai.

I just discovered the Resident Evil movies. I haven't played the games. The movies are a bit vapid but enjoyable fluff. The fourth one might be the first I actually watch in theaters.

I thought that was Capcom's decision, not Sony's.

Is this the style of the first three RE movies? Seems more like an Ultraviolet sequel with the obvious CGI and Matrix-fu.

Also, touting the filming technique as the main selling point?

Awesome to see Claire Redfield back, nice shot of the Uroboros mouth thing and giant mofo, wouldn't feel right to have Uroboros without Chris, and I think they casted him pretty well with Prison Break guy, but a 26 year old Wesker is meh.

That would make sense considering the Resident Evil franchise has never really been in Sony's pocket

Ya, as far as I know, it was Capcom's decision. And sony lost their exclusivity deal with Capcom for the Franchise a long time ago, before 4 came out and Zero and all the re-released got released for Nintendo.

Even that time it wasn't much of an exclusivity deal, considering how Resident Evil 2 came out on both the PS1 and N64, Resident Evil 1 came out for the Saturn and PS1 and Resident Evil 0 was being developed as an N64 exclusive

I really need to see Resident Evil 3.

Moving on, am I the only one who noticed the text in the trailer was more about 3D than the film itself? that cant be a good sign can it?

I apologize. When I typed that I meant Capcom (long day yesterday).

Believe me, you really don't.

Nice to see Anderson seizing the opportunity to ruin Wesker, the Majini and the Executioner before they reboot the film franchise. Most of the Resident Evil fansites are already taking bets that
It's Carlos
underneath the Executioners hood, ready to weep with joy when he sees Alice again.
