Thank you for the advice but unfortunately I'm new to this so I don't know how to ensure that people will read that thread.
I find Star Trek fandom fascinating and I am truly just looking for the opportunity to investigate further so I really would appreciate it if you did take part.
Thanks
I'm a marketing major, so I can appreciate that you'd want more exposure than a single thread made by a new poster would generate. However, when someone goes around interrupting the flow of conversation with something that is unrelated to the topic and asks them to do something, it's kind of annoying. If you're annoying about your survey, people are going to be less likely to fill it out for you.
A slightly less annoying way to go about things would be to start a thread asking about your survey, and then put a link to wither that thread or the survey (or both) in your signature. Then, make some posts in threads around the board that actually contribute to the conversation.
If the links are in your signature, everyone that reads any one of your posts will see it. Also, if you start contributing to conversations, people may begin to like you, and then they'll be more likely to spend five minutes of their time filling out the survey to help you out.
Of course, if this survey is just an elaborate scheme to collect e-mail addresses, please disreguard this and kindly leave and never return.
As a sign of good faith, I have decided to fill out your survey. Harry Balsach is my real name, I swear.
