Did my friend die?

It's not the contact that I need. I have plenty of friends that I don't have contact with everyday. It's the sudden and unprecedented lack of contact that simply makes me wonder if everything is okay.

I don't understand why you would want to ban me I'm trying to do a serious research report for a university research module.

Posting the exact same thing in multiple threads across the entire message board is usually a good sign that you are a spammer, especially when they have nothing to do with the topic of the thread in which you are posting.

I'm just trying to give you fair warning that your actions will probably be seen as spamming by the Powers that Be.

Starting your own thread would probably be a much safer way to go.

You're worried after only two DAYS? My best friend and I have gone two WEEKS without face-to-face contact. Of course, that's what email is for.

We go weeks/months without face-to-face contact, too (for the last 6 months, we lived 2 hours apart). That's not what bothers me. It's the fact that he doesn't respond to texts/emails that bothers me.

I think sometimes I convince myself that he's dead because it's an acceptable excuse for him ignoring me.

Have you considered the possibility that he's just screwing with you?

Thank you for the advice but unfortunately I'm new to this so I don't know how to ensure that people will read that thread.
I find Star Trek fandom fascinating and I am truly just looking for the opportunity to investigate further so I really would appreciate it if you did take part.

Thanks

Party nekkid.

I'm a marketing major, so I can appreciate that you'd want more exposure than a single thread made by a new poster would generate. However, when someone goes around interrupting the flow of conversation with something that is unrelated to the topic and asks them to do something, it's kind of annoying. If you're annoying about your survey, people are going to be less likely to fill it out for you.

A slightly less annoying way to go about things would be to start a thread asking about your survey, and then put a link to wither that thread or the survey (or both) in your signature. Then, make some posts in threads around the board that actually contribute to the conversation.

If the links are in your signature, everyone that reads any one of your posts will see it. Also, if you start contributing to conversations, people may begin to like you, and then they'll be more likely to spend five minutes of their time filling out the survey to help you out.

Of course, if this survey is just an elaborate scheme to collect e-mail addresses, please disreguard this and kindly leave and never return.

As a sign of good faith, I have decided to fill out your survey. Harry Balsach is my real name, I swear.

"Well, if you don't know, I'm not going to tell you." You are like a married couple. :D

Oh, believe me, I know. It's gonna be even worse in a couple months when he moves in with me.
