I'm outta here guys. It's been a lot of fun, as always.

Hope to run into some of you later in the week.

I want to say Jack fought rogue US SpecOps in Day 2 and maybe Day 3 as well. The Day 2 guys were his old Army unit, the Coral Snakes, yes? It's been a while.

And Jack's accuracy when he was actually aiming was 100%. He killed five of the SpecOps guys with one-hit kills during the smoke grenade counter-ambush.

Did Renee hit anyone, though? Didn't look like it. Hassan got one.

The general in civies may not have had immediate access to a uniform when the emergency security session was called, or maybe he's the chairman of the joint chiefs and that position doesn't require a uniform. That actor must get tired of playing the douche bag of every show he's on.

Thought this was a great episode. Too bad the whole season up till this point couldn't have been this cool.

I wonder how the whole "I, the general decided your lawful orders were illegal, Madam president, so there!" will play out. Will this guy get caught, or will he get away with it? Somehow escape?

Speaking of Agent Freckles, Annie Wersching is on the George Lopez Show tonight.

ETA: oh my .... :adore:

BTW.... she has some excellent pictures from behind the scenes on the set of "24", posted on her Facebook profile page.

Well, this episode didn't piss me off, but I was more entertained for the preview for next week than this hour. Looking forward to that stuff between Jack and Dana and Logan coming back. Did like the evil general plot though, as that seemed to be the most involving plot this season has seen so far. Pity it happens now instead of about 6 hours ago.

Good action tonight but the evil general plot was insane.

I thought it was typical Hollywood, throw in a general who wants power.
Other than that it wasn't a bad ep.
and the general was warned not to under estimate Jack he should of listened.

I really liked the episode, even though what happened in it was truly insane. Glad Jack is back to being a sharpshooter again.

As for the cancellation, I must say, the way the show is now, I am not surprised.

Isnt' it standard 24 procedure that at least one member of the president's inner circle must be part of the terrorist plot / be involved in a conspiracy?

Was the general Secretary of Defense? I see no other reason why he'd wear civil uniform, as I've come to understand it militaries wear their best uniforms when dealing with POTUS.

The general could have easily been a member of the NSA or other civilian-run branch of defense (CIA, DOD, etc). If he were the Secretary of Defense, they would have referred to him as "Mr. Secretary (of Defense)", not "General."

Hmm, slightly OT, but with the next episode, Chloe O'Brian will have appeared in the most amount of episodes besides of course, Jack. Who would have thought she would have lasted this long?

When we first met Chloe in Season 3 I hated her, but grew to love her over the seasons.

Yep, the same Trekker. To me, she's just as integral to 24 as Jack is, if not more so. Can i smell a spin-off? ;)
