IMO, Kirk should've said, "I've always known I'll die with some bald British guy standing next to me."

Generations is the only REAL TNG movie....

I do not think Kirk's line in STV was meant to be prophecy, and I think too many people have taken it a bit too literally.
So do I. Picard was right next to him, so no, he didn't die alone.
didn't you get the memo? KIRK is never wrong. He died alone because neither spock/mccoy were there.

He died alone because Spock and McCoy WERE there?![]()
Technically, no. But he DID die away from any of his friends and loved ones. So in a way, his death was worse than dying in the presence of those he loved and vice versa. But then, he helped save 300 million sentient souls from perishing in a giant shockwave. So it's a tradeoff.
He died, 100 years after his time period, on some unknown planet, with only a bald captain guy he had only just met, for company. Works for me! Sounds pretty 'alone'!![]()
But does he really count as a person?Pretty sure Picard was standing right over Kirk when he died.

But his toupee lived on to continue the fight.

or did it? Because in the DS9 episode "Trial and Tribulations" I swear that the tribble which had the bomb planted in it was the aforementioned item...

The only way Kirk knew that he'd literally die alone is if he planned to kill himself.![]()

Which would have happened after "The Alternative Factor" or "Catspaw" if it were EVER gonna.
