I've had a goatee for the last 15 years; I think it helps my face look less fat.

When I shave it off, all the women at work say what a "baby-face" I have...

Actually, i DO love it. I LOVE putting faces to the names. It makes me happy. Hey, I'm not long for this world. I'll grab happiness anyplace i can get it.

I have a wonderful man's growth of fur on my face. THe real reason? I hate shaving. To drag a knife across my face like that would be barbaric! The only way I could figure out how not to shave was to grow a beard.

I'm reminded of Roddy McDowel's line in the original Planet of the Apes after Charleton Heston's (human) character shaved his own beared.
"Somehow, it makes you look less intelligent."


(It's also the only hair I can grow)
