I grew one when I was fifteen so I could buy cigarettes. I kept it off and on for about fifteen years and shaved it off when it started going grey. It was coming in spots and looked weird. I might grow another one in a couple of years, when the grey fills in a bit more.
And I love beards. I think they are sexy.

I wore a beard for about 6 years, then I moved to Oregon and it's like everyone has a beard here, so I shaved it off. 
It's good to change things up now and then. I've only been beardless about 6 months. I think it makes me look younger!

I voted other -- I have a goatee, so it's only half a beard.
I had one for a few years, but shaved it off when I got blond highlights. A dark brown beard with blond hair just looked wrong.
I don't shave every day because I don't generally have the time in the mornings, so sometimes I can go about 2-3 weeks without shaving. Surprisingly (to me, at least), I still don't have a full beard by then - I just look unkempt.

Haha, but really, I've had facial hair very consistently for a while now. The most recently I was clean shaven was for Halloween, I had to shave for my costume. I won't show that picture though because I was wearing a prosthetic piece that covered half of my face so that wouldn't demonstrate it very well.
This is me just last September, this is more or less how my facial hair looks now. I think it might be a tad longer now though.

Heh. Well, I don't like the way it feels anymore. Also, whenever I do let it go for a couple of days, I notice that it comes in quite gray, which doesn't match the top of my head... yet.
I rarely shave -more out of laziness than anything else- so I usually sport some sort of cave-dweller beard.*
But as far as the look generally goes: a guy with a beard always looks as if he's got something to hide, that he is not entirely trustworthy (the mirror universe effect if you will).

Gotta argue with this though, adorable is almost there with "such a good friend". Usually not a good word for us guys.
