Jay Leno's second first Tonight Show

I had to watch out of curiosity. The monologue was mediocre as usual but I gotta say the segment he did on searching for the desk was hilarious... probably the funniest thing I've seen out of him. I feel dirty.

He said he's going to leave sometime after March to pursue other musical avenues. He has expressed interest in touring and recording.

I hope Smitty (the drummer) takes over as Jay's permanent sidekick. Smitty was always funnier than Eubanks anyway.

^ Bleah. Marsalis was a cold fish when he was on the show. He had ZERO chemistry with Leno. He may be a great sax player, but as a cohost, EPIC FAIL.

So they just redressed his set from The Jay Leno Show? Huh. Well, bias aside, he did seem pretty vibrant and happy to be back, even though I kept on switching back and forth between him and Letterman and stayed with Letterman when Bill Murray came on.

That's the last thing he would want to do. As far as he and NBC are concerned, Conan never existed.

Yeah, the "Nowhere Man"-style wiping of Conan from NBC's collective memory these past few weeks (some of which has been ridiculous) has really endeared me to NBC and Leno.

I only hope some of the crewpeople who moved from New York to LA along with Conan were picked up by Leno's show.

Someone over at Huffington Post picked up on that last night. Leno was plugging Tuesday night's show, and mentioned that Sarah Palin has never appeared on a late night show before. Of course, that's ignoring the time she showed up on Conan's show when Shatner was reading her tweets, and she read some passages from Up Till Now.

I guess technically, Leno's correct... this is the first time she's an actual guest, rather than just making an unannounced cameo appearance during a comedy bit. But still, it's all part of the Stalinistic campaign by NBC to make you forget Conan ever existed.

Probably not; wouldn't most of the Leno Tonight Show people have transitioned over to The Jay Leno Show with Jay? In which case, they probably all went back to Tonight when Jay got the show back. Conan's paying the severance out-of-pocket for those crew people who didn't get covered in his settlement with NBC, and hopefully he'll be able to keep as many of them as possible wherever he ends up in the fall.

I'd like to see Pierre Bernard move to Vancouver so Sgt. O'Brien can become a semi-regular on Stargate Universe.

Both Leno and Letterman suck. Late night tv is stuck in the ditch.

The only one I find entertaining is Craig Ferguson.

Never watched him before and since having failin' Palin on will DEFINETLY not watch him now.
Well, ratings for Leno's show with Palin were huge. So you were "DEFINETLY" not missed.

Now it's a "Stalinistic campaign." You Conan fans are unforgiving, paranoid and vindictive conspiracy nuts.
