worf just cracks me up

im sure worf wasn't meant to be funny, but by god, everything he does and says cracks me up. i mean, is there anything funnier than worf in his pimp hat saying, "sir, i protest, i am not a merry man!" he's always so serious it makes me giggle. am i alone in this?

Not at all. There is quite often a funny Worf lines thread kicking around here.

I have to say my favorite Worf-ism is from DS9, though - during the baseball game: "Death to the opposition!"

Worf: The women available to me...EARTH women...Are far too....Fragile

Riker: If that came from anyone else, I'd say they were boasting.

Worf: BOASTING sir?

Worf worked wonderfully as a comic foil on the show, but unfortunately, I think that's what inspired the people who wrote the TNG movies to saddle him with a lot of horribly unfunny lines, with the exception of his annoyed "little?" to Riker in "Star Trek: First Contact". His pimple in "Insurrection" and drunkness in "Nemesis" were so lame. On the TV show, I love how he'd play off Q and Data for humour.

"Q the miserable, Q the desperate. What must I do to convince you people?"

Worf: "Die."

The delivery at that one-word line just cracked me up. It was so perfect.

How many times has Worf died? I can think of three off the top of my head. Hide and Q, Transfigurations and Ethics. I suppose you could include Cause and Effect.
