While I'd fiddled around with Facebook for a while, I actually never spent much time with it until recently (just the past few months - it started probably right around the time everybody else is getting tired of it!) when I decided I needed to set up a Facebook page for the organization I work for. Then I decided I'd better get fairly good at it before I put something out there branded with my employer's good name for all the world to see, so I ended up playing with my own user profile first.
And as many of you know, it's really kind of fun. It has its problems and annoyances, but it has provided some enjoyable moments.
So what I'd like to know is...what has been your best or weirdest or whateverest Facebook encounter? So far, my best has actually been the chance of regular contact with my siblings. We've always kept in touch, but it's been phone calls now and then, and with Facebook, I get little bits of news almost every day.
But the second best so far been getting reacquainted with the guy I went, I swear, to senior prom with. (Edit: Do I need to translate "senior prom" for non-Americans? You tell me.) He was really, really good and nice and sincere and smart and funny (and good looking, might I add
) when we were in high school together, and from what I can tell so far, he's still really, really good and nice and sincere and smart and funny (and good looking, might I add
) now that he's all grown up.
But what about some of you? Anything you'd care to share?
