Ouch MkII. I thought I'd need a new machine last year, but fortunately mine turned out to be easily fixable then. Touch wood, I won't need to get a new one for a while. I really don't like how long the new "energy efficient" ones take to do a load.
I forgot to mention buying some new stuff earlier this week - a pair of rust-coloured cords from Loro Piana (picked these up at a great discount in their clearance section), and some new items for this Spring/Summer: a pale mint-green-ish cashmere jumper from Ralph Lauren which is great now and going into Spring, and a pale blue woven belt also from Loro Piana, which should be pretty useful later in the year. Pastels are back and going to rock this Spring/Summer!
