Good one, although Mac bashing is political on this board.

    Glad you liked it!

But I do wish that you wouldn't post modified versions of the images. I add my name and URL so that they won't pop up all over the web with no indication of where they came from.

Sorry about that! I just cropped them from the poster images - I didn't realize I was modifying them in the way you mentioned. Again, my apologies.

My latest strategy is to make it easier to copy the images, but with the attribution on them. It's sort of a paradox that by making it harder to copy them you force the user to use graphic editing tools, so they're likelier to get modified.

This has been a much bigger problem with some of my other work. What happens is that the images show up unattributed in so many places that people assume they're not copyrighted - which might be one reason the low res images get reproduced and even printed on merchandise.

Anyhow, like I said - glad you like Retropolis!

    I absolutely see your point.

If you wish, I could remove the images from my original post. Not a problem.

And yes, Retropolis is a great site!

^ Ah, now I understand! Those weren't the images I used, hence the lack of the black info-bar on the bottom. I used the ones from the poster section - they had no black bar, therefore I didn't remove it.

But you're right - the attribution (which I was unaware of) should be there. So I'll edit my original post as you suggested.

Yikes! They're meant to use the same images - I better look into that. Thanks!

 Nice. As I was watching that I said "What f'd up Satanic bootleg version of 'Fiddler on the Roof' do they have up in Canada?"

Great opening ceremonies. The light displays were fantastic, but it was a bummer after that flawless performance for that one torch pillar not to rise.
