What will we get this Summer?

^Angry guys and sexually confused women? Does this author even know what the MU is all about ?

bisexual ≠ sexually confused

I apologize. Of course bisexual people aren't confused. I was trying to be funny, not insulting. I'm sorry if I offended anyone.

You are forgiven. I hope you understand that we think it's "confusion" to limit yourself, but we understand that others think it is confusion not to conform to traditional roles. It takes all kinds, as my Dad would say. No biggee here either. ;)

I know this is somewhat off topic, but it is SCE related, and it's a simple question that doesn't really deserve it's own thread. A couple weeks ago I was looking at the Mirror Universe series on Memory Beta, and it said that a MU SCE story had been planned as a companion to Shards and Shadows. I was wondering how far along this actually got before the Ebooks were canceled? Is there any chance of ever seeing it somewhere? After all SCE is now the only TrekLit series to not have an MU story, and I would be very curious to see what it's Mirror characters are like.
I wrote the plot for it. I don't think I even got as far as sending it to CBS before the eBook line was cancelled. And I was already committed to "Family Matters" for Shards and Shadows....

^ Yes, because Amazon is infallible, and never ever ever makes mistakes. *nods*

:D

Yeah, "Many Splendors" (and, for that matter, "10 is Better than 01") will be in there, worry not.

FWIW, simonandschuster.com only lists the authors of the first four, too. Good to know all six will be in there.

It really amazes me how innacurate simonsays.com (S&S website) is, at least when it comes to Trek. You'd think the publisher would want to put as accurate information as possible on their website.

I exaggerate and conflate.

The S&S site did indeed have my name misspelled, but that was corrected. Our contracts and some early web reports read "The Future Beings" but that was never on the S&S site. (I want to write that S.C.E. story someday, though.) And when the line break on the product description page disappeared in one of the S&S site's umpteen redesigns, "WHAT'S PAST" and "A special six-part S.C.E. event" ran together to create "WHAT'S PASTA". (That is another S.C.E. story I want to write.)

I seem to remember, reading KRAD's announcement of a certain book schedule on Pocket's website, his confession that, and I quote,

Many Splendors is a month late, due to the author being a deadbeat. *sigh*

I have no clue what that has to do with anything, I was just reminded of it when he brought the tale up in this thread.

(Y'know, KRAD, I always wondered exactly what you meant by that....)

I was just thumbing through Voyages of Imagination and it crossed my mind how much we could have used a new volume of Strange New Worlds this summer.
I forgot how much I used to look foward to reading it each year.
:(

^I've stated that point a million times. And the answer is always the same:

SNW is just not profitable enough, book-sale-wise, to continue at this time.
